Hacer turismo en Atenas comienza con la colina de la Acrópolis, que le alegrará el día. En la colina histórica, tendrá la oportunidad de ver el Odeón de Herodes Atticus, el Templo de Atenea Nike, la puerta monumental (Propilea), el Erecteo y, por supuesto, el famoso Partenón, el templo principal dedicado a la diosa virgen Atenea .
La Propilea es la entrada monumental al área sagrada dedicada a Atenea, la diosa patrona de la ciudad. Construido por el arquitecto Mnesicles con mármol pentelico, su diseño fue vanguardista. Al suroeste de la Propylaea, en una muralla que protege la entrada principal a la Acrópolis, se encuentra el templo jónico de Apteros Nike, que ahora se está restaurando.

El Odeón de Herodes Atticus es una estructura de teatro romano de piedra ubicada en la ladera suroeste de la Acrópolis de Atenas, Grecia. El edificio se completó en 161 DC y luego se renovó en 1950.
Después de la Acrópolis, nos dirigiremos hacia el Templo de Zeus, el templo más grande de la antigüedad, dedicado al Rey de Dios, a través del Arco de Adriano.

La plaza Syntagma es la plaza central de Atenas. La plaza lleva el nombre de la Constitución que Otto, el primer rey de Grecia, se vio obligado a otorgar después de un levantamiento popular y militar el 3 de septiembre de 1843.
Cuando ingrese a los terrenos del museo, mire a través del piso de plexiglás para ver las ruinas de un antiguo barrio ateniense, que se incorporaron ingeniosamente al diseño del museo después de ser descubiertas durante las excavaciones. What a great day! An amazing tour made even better by our professional and knowledgeable guide Dimi. The Acropolis was breathtaking and the other stops were just icing on the cake. We chose to visit the Acropolis museum and it was well worth the €20 admission. The lunch was delicious as well. Pro tip: Take a walk through the National Gardens after the Acropolis museum. It’s nearby and worth seeing. The walk to the top of Mt. Lycbetus is well worth the amazing view.

The best parts of this tour were the small group size and the itinerary. Nothing was rushed and our driver Manolis was a wealth of knowledge. He had an infectious personality that heightened the experience for everyone in the group. Once we completed our scheduled timing at the Acropolis, the rest of the day was very flexible with the order of the rest of the activities. Theodore was very accommodating and helpful. We were not on time for the tour because of immigration from the cruise ship but he was very helpful in helping us meet up with the group at the first stop He was very accommodating and easy to work with. Our driver, Panos, was very informative and courteous. The day was fantastic. All of the attraction tickets were pre arranged, so no waiting in line. Panos provided detailed explanations of the sites we visited, some history, and really went out of his way to make is comfortable. The included lunch was authentic and tasty, but who can go wrong with Greek food? Lol. At the end of the day, I would recommend this tour to anyone who prefers a more personalized experience as opposed to being herded around like cattle in a 50 passenger bus. In my opinion, it is worth the extra money to have a more relaxing, and more importantly, more memorable day in Athens. This delivered all of the above, so I highly recommend it. Thank you, Panos!

Excellent tour!!!! Our guide, Manos, was very knowledgeable and explained everything with just the right amount of detail. The best part was his passion for his country and desire to share it with us! We got great lessons in Greek history, saw all the important sites, learned about life in Greece and had fun! The tour just wasn’t what we expected. The transportation vehicle was fantastic. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. The tour group was a little larger than we expected. It was difficult to have a conversation with the guide. The lunch was excellent. I would recommend this to a friend but with reservations.
