Unfortunately we ended up being a very small group and did not end up with a guide, just a driver who had very little to say. This meant that we didn't get any information about the places we visited.
Hi, the driver did just that drove me and a few other day trippers to 4 locations, thankfully I didn’t order lunch, whilst I was keen to eat lunch the restaurant chosen by the booking company was ill prepared, it actually smelt like a morgue inside, which didn’t bode well to sit down and eat anything. All in all it was a great day out, because of the stunning views and the group I ended up befriending. I would do it all again but it would have been cool to gain some historical insights from the driver, rather than simply being driven from place to place.
Travelers be warned, tour was NOT as described, it shows an English speaking Guide and we had none, we were left in the hands of the driver who hardly spoke any english, we had to try and figure out on our own what we were seeing/going. Very disappointed.
This was an excellent tour, they certainly packed everything in on the planned itinerary before nightfall. Would highly recommend
Great day trip from Tokyo - the sites were all fantastic. Rachel was the most efficient, friendly, and helpful tour guide - overall great experience.
This tour was on my bucket list to do when I visit Japan. It did not disappoint and Alex is an awesome tour guide !
Other travellers were also excited and enjoyed the trip. At the end of trip, our return journey was by Bullet train, we'll managed by Ms. Laila.
Tour operator was very friendly and helpful. I took the opportunity to instead of going back to Tokyo, I caught the bullet train to Osaka.
This trip was the worst! The trip is labeled Mt Fuji 5th station and we got no where near the fifth station. Should have just been advertised as a trip to Lawson near Fuji. The guide was horrible. Had my family searching in a building going up and down an elevator looking for the van and when we got back to the meeting place the van was there. We could’ve missed the trip. We were heavily pressured to purchase items at the restaurant and opted for a no meal option and were pressured to sit and eat. The food was not very good at all! Totally not worth the price we were forced to pay. I would’ve preferred to eat at Lawson. Then we headed to Hakone but never saw any lakes near Fuji as advertised. The driver was driving very very very fast and the ride was bumpy and scary. I was then told I had to pay to enter a pirate ship and I showed my receipt that indicated the pirate trip was admission included. The guide was yelling at me and arguing with me in front of everyone. I asked why do I have to pay if I already paid and showed her my receipt. She refused to acknowledged any wrongdoing on the paperwork she had and insisted we repurchase tickets. We did. Then she led us onto the boat and sat us in the bottom and back of the boat. We were not told we could walk around and go to the top. By the time we did every inch of the place was full with people and no where to stand. The pirate ship we had to pay twice for was horrible because we really couldn’t see anything. After that the guide took us to the train station and gave us a tkt for the train and left. I would expect some customer service, guide us to which direction we need to go, nothing. She was the worst! I would not recommend this trip. As advised by the guide once I got to my room I submitted a refund. I was told it was approved but the tour company did not approve it. She was the one that said to submit the report for a refund in the first place! I don’t recommend this trip. Save your money or go with a different company.
Setsu our driver and tour guide was the nicest guide ever. He really helped me out when we got lost trying to find the meeting spot and went out of his way to call and physically go to my location to find us. The museum was wonderful, don’t forget to check out the 2nd floor for the majestic viewpoint. My mom missed out on it but she still thought the museum was the best part. Food options were fine and the bullet train was great. My one gripe however would be the Hakone experience. We went on a crowded sunny Saturday so it was packed with tourists. With our time given, we literally only spent 5 min up on the mountain, and spent 30 min in line to go up, and another 30 min in line to go down. No time for anything but quick photos and bathroom. Therefore we also missed the boat ride.. so just something to keep in mind. Maybe opt for a weekday and not during a peak season.
