What an amazing private day tour. Our guide Razz was knowledgeable on all aspects. The scenery was breathtaking and as older hikers we managed it well. The ancient town was fascinating as was the monastery- a must see in Nepal. The local lunch was delicious and a real local treat. Thanks Razz and our driver for a wonderful day. Jen Sydney Australia

Razz took us on our private tour today and was the best tour guide we have experienced in Nepal. The whole experience was first rate right from the hotel pick up to the return. Razz was a wealth of knowledge not just on the tour itself but also on Amy random questions we had. The hike through villages to the monastery was awesome and provided some amazing scenery. Stopping at Panauti for lunch was brilliant and the old town was mesmerising. We chose a traditional Newari lunch at the awesome Cafe Agha Cheh and the hosts were so friendly and accommodating explaining the local Newari dishes to us. Thoroughly recommend the tour to anyone.

We were led by Razz, who was not only knowledgeable about the route but the culture and religious questions we had. He was patient when we needed to slow or pause. While not perfect, his English was proficient and we had no trouble communicating. We had a great time!

I am very glad I have spent such a lovely day hiking towards the Namobuddha monastery and discovering the beautiful green valley around it, an oasis of peace and beauty away from Kathmandu. Subash, my guide, was not only knowledgeable in describing every detail of the cultural, political and religious life of the region, but also very generous in human terms. He rediscussed with the agency in my favour some unclear conditions about meals between Tripadvisor and Viator. He even spoiled by buying me oranges on our way back as soon as he heard that I had not been eating fruit for a long time! I couldn’t ask for more, thank you!!🙏
Dear Elisabetta, Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your hike to Namo buddha Monastery and the serene green valley. It’s heartwarming to hear how Subash looked after every detail and even treating you to oranges. Your kind words mean a lot to us, and we’re so glad we could be part of such a special day for you. We hope to see you again on another adventure with us! Kind regards, Breakfree Adventures Nepal. +977 9851014557 (WhatsApp)
The Namobuddha Monastery is a site well worth a visit. Perched high on a hilltop with a 360° view, one can't help but feel that there is something special about this place. Arriving on foot, after a 2-3 hour hike, makes it even more meaningful. Unfortunately, the day I visited the air wasn't clear and I did not see the white peaks of the Himalayan range. Instead, I saw firsthand the devastation of the recent floods and landslides.
Dear Irene, Thank you for sharing your thoughtful review. It’s wonderful to hear that you found Namobuddha Monastery to be such a meaningful destination, especially after completing the rewarding hike to reach it. We're sorry to hear that, the weather wasn’t ideal during your visit. We hope that on your next visit, the skies will be clearer, allowing you to fully appreciate the stunning Himalayan peaks. Thank you for your thoughtful reflection, and we’re happy you chose to explore this remarkable site with us! Best regards, Breakfree Adventures Nepal. +977 9851014557 (WhatsApp)
The guide has such a passion for local Nepalese culture and encourages new experiences on the tour. He even spontaneously organised me to cook lunch (dal bhat) with the locals! I loved doing something for a day that was outside the city, in local towns (seeing ‘real Nepal’) and experiencing something new and not traditionally touristy. The guide was very knowledgeable about the monastery and both Hindu and Buddhist religions, so I learned so much. Everything was well organised but also flexible - we stopped for masala tea multiple times. Thank you!
Dear Julie, Thank you for sharing this fantastic review! We're delighted that your guide's passion brought such unique, hands-on moments like cooking dal bhat with locals and enjoying multiple stops for masala tea. It's wonderful to hear you enjoyed exploring Nepal outside the usual tourist path. Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to create more memorable experiences with you in the future!
