Our tour guide Sharina was amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable of Alaskan history as well as local spots. Pickup was smooth and on time from the hotel. The glacier tour itself was incredible. The actual tour with Thomas was great! The pace we went was just perfect. We had adequate time to take as many photos as we wanted. The hike was about 2.25 miles total and around 2.5 hours. The restaurant after the hike was super yummy. Overall, this experience was very well worth it and another thing off the bucket list.
All in all was a great experience. Anchorage hotel pick up worked well. Luckily the van was only half full so could spread out a bit. Tour was exciting, I’ve never walked on a glacier before. Tour guides are knowledgeable and helpful over the sometimes tricky spots. Although not hard, walking on a glacier is harder than a trail, but still doable for this hiking senior. The one thing that I would fault is our van ride back, 2 hours of political conversation between a passenger in the back and the driver. Not the drivers fault, but sometimes you never know who you will have to spend time listening too. Made me wish I had brought headphones.
Great tour out to the glacier! Tony was a great guide.
We had a great time with Rena on this amazing day-long excursion. Following a couple of shower stops for photo ops and snacks along the way, we thoroughly enjoyed the glacier tour/walk. Our guide on the glacier was enthusiastic and informative. It was an easy walk with lots of stops for pictures. Dress warmly, even in late June. The lunch stop after the glacier was delicious. It was full day, made lots of fun by Rena. She had tons of stories about Alaskan life and generally made everyone feel welcomed.
Good tour but long day 10 hours over 2 hour ride out to the glacier each way. The glacier is overwhelming and the tour guides are very knowledgeable it’s a great experience to climb around on a glacier.
We went with Lori, the owner, and had a wonderful time. Our group was great! We learned so much about glaciers, we weren’t even expecting that part of it.
The Glacier hike was a phenomenal experience. Our guides where very knowledgeable and helpful. There were plenty of beautiful things to see and we got some great photos. Lunch after the hike was delicious and the beer was great.
Excellent excursion! A breathtaking time!
