El Castillo de Cape Coast es uno de los castillos más grandes que aún se mantienen en pie en Ghana hoy en día y fue construido por fuerzas europeas. En una parte de Gold Coast que posteriormente se conoció como Cape Coast, todo comenzó como un albergue comercial portugués construido en 1555. La Compañía Sueca de África construyó una fortaleza de madera permanente en 1653 para facilitar el comercio de oro y madera después de que Suecia conquistara la Costa del Cabo. La oficina regional de la Junta de Museos y Monumentos de Ghana se encuentra allí, y actualmente es un museo histórico con una tienda de regalos que vende artesanías ghanesas.

We had an amazing day out with Emmanuel as our guide who couldn't have been better. The castles and the tree top walk were great, very interesting with lots of history to take in. Emmanuel did a brilliant job of getting us there despite the many issues he had with the roads and traffic etc. He is hands down, the best driver we've ever met, very calm and also told us lots about life in Ghana and the places we were driving through. Lunch was good, reasonably priced and the journey was very comfortable. Highly recommend!

The Cape Coast trip was a great experience. Patrick was a tremendous tour guide and custodian. He kept us on track and safe, as well as provided great information along the way. Patrick was a first-rate guide for this life-changing experience in every respect. First, he is a top-notch driver, navigating any number of challenges flawlessly during a day long trip, including several hours of driving. During the trip, he imparted wisdom about the areas we we’re traveling through, and also was masterful at stimulating conversation amongst the 5 of us who traveled with him, most of whom were strangers. The tours of the castles were appropriately solemn, with the guides at both sites providing moving narratives, constantly striking the right tone. Wisdom was my tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and personable. Felt like I was on a tour with a good friend! The castle experience is a must for all African diaspora. This was a fantastic trip and Daniel was a great driver. This was our second attempt at going on this trip, we unfortunately got caught up in the floods on 29th June, so our trip was cancelled. Expedition-go tour rearranged without difficulty. There communication was great Our driver Daniel was friendly and warm and helped us with getting some local street food We enjoyed all 3 sites we visited. Bewear the drive is very long and the roads dreadful but that's part of the experience! Daniel did well to navigate the potholes and traffic😁
