Esta excursión de un día desde York ofrece la oportunidad de explorar el impresionante paisaje del Parque Nacional Yorkshire Dales, visitando el Castillo de Bolton, Askrigg (lugar de filmación de Darrowby en la serie de televisión James Herriot All Creatures Great and Small), Kettlewell (lugar de filmación principal para el Calendar Girls movie), la tienda de dulces más antigua del mundo en Pateley Bridge y el tradicional Dales Market Town of Hawes, donde tendrá la oportunidad de probar los quesos en el galardonado Wensleydale Creamery, el hogar de Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese. Llegamos al monumento más famoso de Wensleydale, el Castillo Bolton del siglo XIV, que una vez albergó a María Reina de Escocia, donde tendrá la oportunidad de disfrutar y fotografiar las magníficas vistas de Wensleydale, aprender un poco sobre la historia de la zona con su Guía, o simplemente tomar un Yorkshire Brew en el salón de té del castillo medieval: ¡la elección es suya!
Luego tomamos la ruta escénica hacia Hawes, pasando por Askrigg, el pueblo ficticio de Darrowby en la serie de televisión James Herriot All Creatures Great and Small.
Pasamos una hora y media en Hawes, la ciudad con mercado más alta de Inglaterra, donde tal vez pueda almorzar y probar los quesos artesanales de cortesía en el mundialmente famoso Centro de Visitantes Wensleydale Creamery, visitar el Museo del Campo de Dales o simplemente explorar el pintorescas tiendas y cafeterías de la ciudad: ¡la elección es suya!
Salimos de Hawes y nos dirigimos al corazón del Parque Nacional de Yorkshire Dales para tomar algunas fotos mientras pasamos por los pintorescos pueblos de Dales a lo largo de la ruta serpenteante del río Wharfe.
Llegamos al tradicional pueblo de Dales de Kettlewell, famoso internacionalmente en 2003 como el principal lugar de rodaje de la película Calendar Girls. We loved both of the tours we did back to back - to the Yorkshire Dales National Park with the All Creatures Great and Small tour and then to Whitby and the North York Moors. Mark was a fabulous driver and host, very knowledgable and friendly. Would highly recommend!

The driver was easy to understand, on time, took photos, took us to absolutely beautiful scenery. By chance it was an absolutely perfectly clear day with cherry blossoms, sheep and green grass as far as you can see.

This was our 4th trip with B.O.B.Tours and yet again a great day out.Mark was his usual friendly,informative and helpful guide.His knowledge of Yorkshire is exceptional with a great ability to relate to all the passengers.Our tour didn’t have a full complement of passengers,which did not detract from the tour.Visited a number of locations,view points and a special stop at Wensleydale Creamery.All in all,one of the best tour companies we have ever used.Thank you,Mark for great day out.Hope to be back soon.Best wishes.Jim and Cath.

Mark, the tour guide was excellent in terms of his knowledge, planning and driving skills. Due to weather forecast, he made changes to the itinerary ( in sequence) and we managed to visit all the places at the right weather.
