Unforgettable experience in Samarkand. We visited beautiful mosques and moseleums accompanied with stories of history by our skillful and well-informed tour guide Farrux. Our tour guide answered all of our questions with a smile and always expressed care and consideration for our tour. It was a fantastic experience, filled with history. Thank you to our your guide Farrux for the unforgettable adventure!
I paid $235 thinking I will be in the group. My guide contacted my via whatsup and I found out it was a probate solo tour. It should have been described that I’m traveling solo. I would not have spent all those money if I’m in the group. I thought it was all inclusive but I need to pay for all the museum entrances. No lunch included as well. I finally realized that I could have gone to Samarkand by myself, it would be cheaper. Overall, I couldn’t blame my tour guide for it was not his fault. It was a nice trip. Someone picked me up from the hotel, took the train and my tor guide picked my up- private car and send me back to the train station. The train from Samarkand to Tashkent was 4 hours. I would appreciate if it was high speed. The trip from via tour…it was overpriced.
Great tour, it was just me , so I got a great personalized tour of Samarkand. Very knowledgeable about all of the history of the area and everything one would want to know. She drove us to all the sites, it was a great experience. I would highly recommend this tour.
I was picked up by the taxi early morning to the train station. Boarded the high speed train for about 2.5 hrs. Arrived in Samarkand and picked by by my guide. He was very knowledgeable and intelligent- he knows everything about Samarkand. I learned a lot took me to different UNESCO sites and explained everything to me in detail. We finished early- took me to the train station. Arrived in Tashkent after 4 hours and was picked by the taxi to my hotel…
We had a fantastic experience on this local tour. Our guide was professional, engaging, and very knowledgeable about the history and culture. What made this tour especially enjoyable was that it was a personalized small-group experience, which created a friendly atmosphere and allowed for plenty of interaction. We enjoyed sharing experiences. The tour was well organized, paced perfectly, and included many interesting insights that we would never have discovered on our own. We left with wonderful memories, new connections, and a much deeper appreciation of the area. Highly recommended!
Farrukh is an amazing tour guide. Very professional, knowledgeable, experienced and friendly. He went out of his way to show me this fantastic historic city.
Farrukh is a fantastic tour guide who really took the time to show me Samarkand. He is an experienced, knowledgeable, friendly and professional guide who went out of his way to help me. Highly recommend this tour.
We visited Samarkand as a family as it was our Daughter’s first birthday. Experience was great Country is blended with lot of history, culture and traditions and with new modern technology. People are very welcoming and courteous. Food is amazing. Feruz our tour guide in Samarkand gave us lots of information about the monuments and shared the stories and history with us. He took care of all the entry tickets even clicked our pictures and made us feel welcoming in his city. We definitely recommend the tour with this agency.
It was wonderful. I had a private tour with Feruz and he couldn't have been nicer. He was informative, kind and funny. We ended up going to 5 different sites and his knowledge of all the sites was incredible.
A chill April 7, 2026, Tashkent-Samarkand day trip is perfect, using the high-speed Afrosiyob train to minimize stress. Samarkand is stunning due to its, "grandeur, mythology, and craftsmanship", featuring iconic, detailed turquoise-tiled mosaics, the Registan, and vibrant local markets. I booked a reasonably priced Samarkand day tour through Viator/TripAdvisor three weeks before arriving in Tashkent. The experience was seamless with Mr. Mirzokhid, who handled transfers, picking me up at 9 AM for the Tashkent-Samarkand-Tashkent trip and providing my VIP train tickets at the station. After a 3-hour speed train ride, I arrived in Samarkand and was met by my guide for the entire day, Usman. He is a 24-year-old local who is incredibly funny and game for all my photoshoot requests, ensuring there was never a dull moment. He was full of insightful knowledge, and I learned so much from him. I was amazed by the stunning architecture, and I thank him for explaining the history behind each site. Eventually, a heavy downpour hit Samarkand, making it impossible to visit some of the other tourist sites I had planned. I decided to head back to the Samarkand Registan instead and opted for a 360-degree video experience. After an hour-long tour, my guide, Usman, treated me to some local ice cream. We spent the rest of the time chatting and laughing before I made my way to the train station for my 6:00 PM trip back to Tashkent. I left carrying with me the rich history of Samarkand—stories of triumph and sorrow, hope, resilience, and its enduring foundation. I arrived back in Tashkent City around 9:00 PM. Mr. Mirzokhid’s brother, Odil, picked me up from my hotel. Looking back at my entire tour, I would first like to thank my contact operator, Mr. Mirzokhid, my tour guide in Samarkand, Brother Usman, and Odil, who picked me up at the Tashkent Railway Station.
