En primer lugar, también visitará Penang Hill, donde viajará en un funicular hasta su pico a 833 m sobre el nivel del mar para disfrutar de una espectacular vista panorámica de Georgetown y el continente Butterworth. Los bungalows coloniales se pueden encontrar alrededor de esta colina debido a que los británicos prefieren quedarse en un clima más fresco en comparación con el ambiente cálido y húmedo de la ciudad.
Después de eso, visite el Templo Wat Chayamangkalaram, donde se encuentra la 4ta estatua más reclinada de Buda. Justo al otro lado de la calle, también puede visitar el Templo Bhamés Dhammikarama, que tiene una estatua de Buda de 8.2 metros, lo que la hace la más alta de Malasia. La existencia de estos dos templos se debe al asentamiento temprano de la comunidad tailandesa y birmana a principios del siglo XIX.
Fort Cornwallis es un bastión en George Town, Penang, Malasia, construido por la British East India Company a finales del siglo XVIII. Fort Cornwallis es la fortaleza más grande de Malasia. El fuerte nunca entró en combate durante su historia operativa.

Chew Jetty, o Sneah1 Chew1 Kio2 en Penang Hokkien, es el más grande de los asentamientos frente al mar en George Town. Fue creado a mediados del siglo XIX, en una Penang muy diferente de lo que es hoy. Los últimos embarcaderos comunitarios, el Peng Aun y el Cap3 Snaeh3 Kio2, solo se establecieron en la década de 1960. Cada uno de los embarcaderos del clan tiene un pequeño santuario para rendir homenaje a las deidades del mar. Chew Jetty es el único embarcadero de clan que sigue observando la adoración anual de su Deidad del Templo y el Emperador de Jade (Thnee Kong, o "dios de los cielos").

We enjoyed the tour. The driver Vijay was very friendly and knowledgeable. He followed the itinerary and allowed us plenty of time to take pictures etc. The vehicle was fully airconditioned and neat. The driver also let us use his power bank when our phone battery was low. We recommend the tour and the driver Vijay to others.

I’ve only given four stars because we had a few glitches, not a moan, it was a Very Good Trip, let me stress that. The driver was a lovely old guy but his limited knowledge of English caused a couple of misunderstandings about pick up points etc. The minibus was a bit strange as we had to crouch down to look out of the window to see out. However, the fast track to Penang Hill via the Funicular Railway was amazing, with lovely views and walks. Later visit to the Buddhist Temple was very pleasant. We also gained an insight into the areas of Penang to walk to later in the day. Good value trip and experience of this interesting location.

We got met by a woman (no idea of her name and she kept ringing on the phone for the driver, finally she got in touch and we then had to walk about 15 minutes to the van where she disappeared and he took over. He said “where do you want to go” and I said I thought you knew, anyway we had tickets for Penang hill fast track so I said to go there where he dropped us off and said ring him when we were done and that was it we were then left on our own and there were people everywhere. We finally found where to go and we went up the funicular and it was great but I was disappointed as had booked 2 other tours with Viator and they were wonderful
We booked a 6hr excursion; were told by the driver who barely spoke english that it was only 5 hours. It was resolved after calling the office and talking to the person in charge. We waited 30 min for the driver to pick us up from Penang Hill which was irritating. Our driver was very nice but hard to understand; he even let us borrow local currency in lieu of dollars we thought that was nice.
