Day trip from Fukuoka

The tour was great. The tour guide was really nice and informative. We only got to do 3 of the 5 things on the tour, but the 3 things we did was truly amazing. I am not sure how all 5 things could fit into that tour.

Work on Better Guides!

The tour was disorganized. The guide was difficult to understand. She wouldn’t at first help us find the bus, assigned seats were confusing and taken by others. The sites and time allotted for each were great. Bus driver was very safe and drove well. Then insult to injury the guide hassled everyone to write a review.

Respuesta del operador

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We sincerely regret to hear that aspects of the tour organization and guide communication did not meet your expectations. We apologize for the confusion regarding finding the bus and the assigned seating. This should have been handled more clearly and smoothly, and we understand how frustrating that experience can be at the start of a tour. We also take your comments about the guide’s clarity and assistance very seriously, as clear communication and guest support are essential parts of our service. That said, we’re glad to know you enjoyed the destinations themselves, the time allocated at each stop, and that you felt safe and comfortable with the bus driver’s driving. Regarding the request for reviews, we apologize if this made you feel uncomfortable. While feedback is valuable to us, it should never feel like pressure, and we will remind our guides to handle this more professionally. Your comments have been shared with our operations and training teams so we can improve guide training, communication, and overall coordination. Thank you again for your honest review, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future.

Well paced beautiful sites tour

Nyoirinji Temple was amazing. Yufuin is great for childlike fun and Beppu Hells was hot, humid and smelled like eggs. Overall it was a good tour, well paced and easy to travel. Kevin our tour guide was fun and energetic. I enjoyed hearing his take on things, some guides have great stories due to their diverse global backgrounds. Our tour was in August which made the geothermal pools even more intense, it was sweaty and crowded in some spots. The 10 hours went by very fast, it’s definitely worth the price.

We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the well-paced itinerary and the variety of experiences each location offered. It’s wonderful to know that Kevin’s energy and storytelling added to the journey and made the day even more memorable. We appreciate your feedback on the August visit, as the summer heat certainly makes the geothermal pools feel more intense. We’re glad to hear that despite the crowds, you found the tour enjoyable and worth the price. We look forward to welcoming you on another adventure soon.

Great tour. Loved it. Great guide.

Really enjoyed this tour. You don't spend a lot of time at each location however felt saw a lot. If you eat a tour where you go one place this isn't it. We went to 2 Beppu hello. The frog shrine. Spent quite a bit of time in Yufuin and ate lunch on our own. We had a quick stop to see the mountains. Overall it was a great tour and we loved it. The tour guide was great. She did an excellent job of handling a larger group of english japanese and chinese. I had fallen the day before and hurt my foot and she helped look out for me. Overall loved the tour. A little confusing to find the right tournat the start point so know your tour company flag read the instructions and you'll be fine.

Very rushed.

The guide Riku was great, very friendly and informative. We covered 4 areas, and very little time to sight see at each location; it felt very rushed. If we had stuck with the advertised 3 locations (Nyoirinji, Beppu and Yufuin) and not added in Komado Shrine, we would have had more time to enjoy the original 3 sites.

Respuesta del operador

Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Nyoirinji Temple, Beppu Hells, and Yufuin Day Tour from Fukuoka. We’re glad to hear that Riku was friendly and informative, but we’re truly sorry to hear that the tour felt rushed. We understand how important it is to have enough time at each site to fully enjoy the experience. Your suggestion regarding the addition of Komado Shrine is very much appreciated, and we will take it into consideration as we review the balance of time at each location for future tours. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We hope to have the opportunity to offer you a more relaxed and enjoyable experience next time.

Terrible tour guide

We booked this tour through Klook. We had a negative experience with our tour guide, Kevin Y, which was the main issue—not the itinerary or the bus driver. I paid a higher price for an English-speaking guide for my adult children, who only understand English, but Kevin barely spoke it. When he did speak, it was in one or two short sentences, and his English was very poor. We felt misled into paying more for what was essentially a 99% Chinese tour. Kevin also provided minimal information about the culture or highlights of the places we visited. After posting our review on Klook, Kevin messaged me in Chinese, blaming us for being late, even though the 8 minutes delay was due to his unfamiliarity with the train station exits and his failure to guide us to the correct exit when we got lost. His rude and disrespectful messages, including "This is Japan, not your home country," were unacceptable and very offensive. We were humiliated throughout the trip for being late. When returning to the bus from the second stop, Kevin and his companion mocked us in Japanese, assuming we didn’t understand—though my daughter, having lived in Japan for several years, is fluent in Japanese. We contacted Klook, but as a third-party platform, they could only provide the contact information for the local tour company. When we filed a complaint, we discovered that the "local tour company" used a China-based individual email address, with no company name listed on Klook's tour description page. It’s been almost a week, and we have received no response from them.

An Adventurous Day!

This was an amazing experience from the start. Even before the tour, our tour guide Jimmy reached out to us via WhatsApp to confirm the meeting point and the time. We had some questions, which he answered promptly and professionally. With each stop, he gave us recommendations and pointers on how to make the best of each stop, especially the short ones. The highlight for my husband and I was Yunotsubo Street. On the drive there, the view itself is outstanding so make sure to stay awake after Beppu! My goodness! So many shops and so much food, cheap too! We were given about three hours, which wasn't enough time. However, I'm glad we had a limit because we definitely would have blown through our budget for the day there. I highly recommend this excursion!
