Excursión de un día a las Pirámides de Guiza Ciudadela y Bazar del Viejo Cairo

We had a great day and our guide Khalal was very informative and friendly, he also took some great pictures of us. The pyramids were absolutely breathtaking! The only downside I would say we felt quite rushed and didn’t get much free time to explore. Also our guide took us to a different shops/factories on route eg. Papyrus shop, cotton shop, perfume and oil shop, spices shop.. we didn’t mind this however we felt immense pressure to buy even though we didn’t want to and then got attitude from the shopkeepers because we didn’t buy anything which tainted our experience slightly. These shops were not in the itinerary listed and we would’ve preferred to cut these out completely so we could have more time at the pyramids. Otherwise we had a great day!

With the guide ziad fars, unforgettable experience, has been the best guide we have had on our trip through Egypt. The quad bike experience has been amazing, we liked it so much that we returned to book another hour with them.

It is an ideal private tour if you have little time in Cairo. The guide was excellent, he has a lot of knowledge about the city and tourist sites. At the time of the tour I had a health mishap and they had a lot of patience with me, they waited for me and were watching that I was okay throughout the day. Lunch was very rich and varied. The logistics of pick-up and transfer in Cairo were very organized.

I arrived Cairo International airport on time and waited in front of terminal 3 from 7:30 am to 9:30 am. My tour trip should have start at 8am. I provided my flight # and arrival time/terminal # to the agent online and then told the operator of the Viator. I also called the Viator while was waiting, he told me he was contacting the guide and would text me. However, no one from Viator showed up. I called again several time, but phone line cut off. I never get any responses message at all. I had to hire a driver to tour Cairo. For a short visit during layover airport, it is terrible to waste time to such irresponsible and un-trustable company. Then I got an email from Viator asking if I had enjoyable tour. Viator has no idea that the guide didn't take me to the tour. What a kind of joke!

This day trip is highly recommended for people who wish to have a great time in key sights and care about listening to some very interesting facts about the history of Egypt. Our tour guide was Marwa and the driver was Hasan. MARWA is a very sweet person that really cares for what she is doing. She is also very helpful and kind and will not let you get overcharged for items of local markets. The sights were amazing and very interesting and the trip was not so tiring -having in mind that it has many sights in one day. The van was also amazing and comfortable.

Our tour was FABULOUS. Essim Ali (hope I spelt that right), was quite amazing. Perfect English, understood my many questions, we understood him perfectly. He went out of his way to point out fabulous things most would miss. Truly unbelievable tour, bravo, and our driver was exceptional, all that busy close of day mad Cairo traffic (I have forgotten your name), you were exceptional.

Our guide was Isam Ali (I hope that is the correct spelling). He was fabulous. We were NOT rushed; he went at our pace, and he took some really fun photos for us. All our questions were answered regardles of the topic. There did not seem to be any lack of understanding for him or for us. We did not want to stop for lunch and he was happy to work right through the whole day. By the end of the day he was limping, but he just kept going pleasantly thoughtfull, extremely knowledgeable and graciously. Our driver He was excellent and forgive me, I have forgotten his name. How he managed to maneover as he did in the constant traffic and hooting was incredible. A day with these two gentlemen is well worth the price; a full 9 hours. That was yesterday, 16 March 2024. Today, 17 March 2024. We chose a different company and it was no where near as pleasant. Our guide could not speak much English and he did not understand most of our questions. We were supposed to be taken to a felucca trip and they pushed not to go so much, we gave up. We were supposed to have about 12 hrs and we got about 6 and a half. We really understand how fortunate we were yesterday.

Sayed Mahmoud led us around the Dashuur, Red and Bent pyramids. After he led us around Memphis to see some statues. We had a great lunch and visited the carpet school. Our driver Ahmed was amazing and a very safe driver. He kept the vehicle very clean after each trip!

The experience of excursions in Egypt depends on much or all of the guide. On this excursion we were unlucky to be with a guide called Rania de emo tour. And it went very badly for the following reasons. His English level was pretty bad. His knowledge in Egyptology was far inferior to wikipedia. He made us pose for a lot of pictures that he took with his phone and I never send them after. The visit instead of 8 hours lasts 5. We only saw 1 mosque, that of the citadel in all old cairo. When we went to the bazaar he took us or exorbitantly priced a shirt 20 euros, as we did not buy anything although we needed because our bags were lost, he was angry and told us that the rest of the bazaar was very dangerous and that we could not go and returned us to the hotel. And we tipped him even though he didn't deserve it. But I repeat it all depends on the guide. On the Nile cruise later we had very good guides with go tours and we were taught a lot and had a lot of fun.

The best guide ever in Cairo is Oussama, male you laugh 24h know the best spot in the city ,a super guide and eazy goin guy. Wonderful enerfy and positive mindset. Ask him about the spot for keftah and chicken bbq. And if you visit Loucour and Aswan the only reference is Ahmed E. he is a GOAT. Will do everything to make you comfortable and enjoying your stay. He is one of my favorite personn in Egypt.
