Hay tres actividades principales durante este día de aventura: caminata por Rincón de la Vieja, cascada y relajación con aguas termales calentadas por un volcán, baños de vapor y barro. Caminata al Parque Nacional Con nuestro guía naturalista bilingüe, caminará 3.5 km (2 millas) en el sendero circular Las Pailas a través del bosque tropical para disfrutar de las mejores vistas del volcán, la naturaleza increíble, la actividad volcánica y la vida silvestre. El parque alberga más de 300 especies de aves y muchos otros animales, como armadillos, bahías, iguanas, pizotes y monos cariblancos, monos aulladores, monos araña, tucanes, pavos y mucho más. Se detendrá para ver la actividad volcánica que incluye ollas de barro burbujeante, fumarolas y un mini cráter. El sector de Las Pailas muestra espectacularmente el poder del volcán Rincón de la Vieja, el volcán más activo y más grande de Guanacaste, Costa Rica. El vapor y el azufre provienen de fumarolas naturales del suelo amarillo y oxidado. Sea testigo de cubos de arcilla en varios tonos de marrón con agua volcánica hirviendo, burbujas de lodo volcánico gris fino y explosiones en cubos grandes. Este volcán es como ningún otro en Costa Rica.
Luego disfruta de una caminata por la cascada de Oropendola y nada en su espectacular alberca azul. Después de eso, prepárese para participar en las aguas termales y relajantes baños de barro volcánico. El paquete también incluye un delicioso almuerzo buffet en el Restaurante Hacienda Guachipelín.
Aguas termales y baño de lodo volcánico. Después del almuerzo, lo llevarán a Hot Springs. Rodeado de bosque seco tropical, las aguas termales de Río Negro cuentan con diez piscinas con aguas termales calentadas naturalmente por el Volcán Rincón de la Vieja. Las relajantes aguas minerales son cristalinas y totalmente naturales. Our driver Mr Grievin was very patient with our schedule there. He ensured our ride to and from there was comfy. We had a great time, the waterfalls and hot springs were amazing.

Faro Travel is great to work with and glad we booked them for this. Our driver w as timely, friendly and courteous. The hike is a bit longer than we expected (our watches said closer to 3 miles) with quite a bit of ups and downs so bring plenty of water. The guide was great making sure everyone got rest when needed. The hot springs are a great way to relax and unwind after the hike.
If you want to spend four hours in a junker taxi with no suspension in rush hour traffic, just to get to the tour starting point and back take this trip. In addition there were so many people on the tour you couldn't hear the guide talking if you wanted to. The tour operator could have cared less about the circumstances.
This was a must do ! We had such an awesome experience! The tour through the rain forest was incredible the waterfalls were breathtaking just being down in the rocks and the cold water was something I’ll never forget and the hot springs with the mud bath was truly amazing can’t believe how beautiful this whole experience was! From start to finish this was an excellent adventure and experience. We were picked up on time from our hotel -Riu Palace in Guanacaste. The car was clean and comfortable for the 1.15 min drive to the National Park. When we arrived at the check in location at the Hacienda Hotel we were greeted with warm smiles and information about our Tour. After a short while of re-hydrating and sun screening, we met our amazing guide SANTOS who took us via shuttle to the entrance of where we started our hike. He explained to us (me and my husband and teenage sons) that we would walk through and he would explain the wildlife, trees, fruits, etc. It was a breathtaking walk with so many incredible stops and photo ops along the way. SANTOS was so patient with our questions, and took the time to explain what we were seeing. The terrain was very clear (path) but it was uphill most of the way. Our group was able to keep up and manage, but good to know depending on activity level. SANTOS then took us to the Waterfall where we enjoyed a dreamlike plunge in the stone covered pool. The water felt so refreshing and invigorating after the hike. After our waterfall adventure, SANTOS departed to meet another group. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. We then met back with our driver who accompanied us for an authentic hot lunch, and then to the HOT SPrings and Mud. We spent about an hour and a half relaxing in the pools and cooling off in the cooler river. What an amazing adventure full of memories that will last a lifetime! I wish i could give more than 5 stars!

Amazing experience. Starts with. A 2 hr 2 mile hike. (Intermediate level. Lots of elevation change. We saw tons of monkeys and birds. Different eco systems. Very cool. The. A breathtaking waterfall. Lunch Hot springs and mud bath. The wife and I loved it.

The guide we had on the nature hike and waterfall was excellent. We saw mud and hot springs around the volcano and got to swim in a secluded waterfall. Water was very cold but very therapeutic. We had a lunch buffet at the restaurant in the park and then went to the hot spring pools for more therapy. Wonderful Day!

Everything was amazing! This company is top notch. The nature guide was extremely knowledgeable. We were able to see so many interesting plants and animals. Johnny was a fantastic tour guide for our hike pointing out different animals and plants. They provide a towel for swimming in the waterfall and hot springs so no need to pick your own. Waterfall water was about 68 degrees Fahrenheit so very cold but good way to cool off from the hike.
