Itinerario

I went for a tour with guide George. I met with some wonderful people and had a very nice little trip in Salina Turda and Rimetea village. The Coltesti fortress was closed, but we went to the area and the guide told us some things about the fortress. We finished our tour by visiting the Turzii Gorges and doing a little hiking. Overall I had a great time and I met with nice people, both the group and the tour guide.
This is a great Viator trip! We enjoyed the whole day, and we really enjoyed our energetic, friendly, knowledgeable guide, Ştefan!!!
Just came back from a full day trip. Atilla ( the Hun!) is a great guide...very knowledgeable, friendly and with a great sense of humor. He's a real people's person.and is passionate about his work.He has loads of information about Transylvannia and helped fill in a lot of the gaps. He took us in his comfortable minivan to the Turda salt mine which is a truly amazing feat of engineering. It's as if they have built an alternate world about 50 meters underground in the Rudolf mine...where you can find minigolf, table tennis, a ferris wheel . Who would have dreamed of all this!? Afterwards we visited the exquisite village of Rimitea with its perfectly preserved quaint houses. We stopped to taste different kinds of fruit liquor made locally. We ended the day with a nature walk in the gorge near Turda. I found it particularly fresh and relaxing and enjoyed the views of the mountain as well as watching some squirrels, scampering up the trees. For me, this trip was the most enjoyable day of my week long stay in Cluj.
The trip was really interesting. Communication prior to the trip was simple and straight forward. The company offered to pick us up from our Old Town Cluj hotel rather than the pick-up point and at the end of the tour to drop us at the airport as we were flying home in the evening. Dorin was a super guide. We had a couple of older guys on the tour. He allowed us all to progress at our own pace. Dorin was knowledgeable on the tour details / history. Lunch was at a nice traditional Romanian restaurant. Food was good and not too pricey. If you have a day spare in Cluj i would recommend this tour.
The salt mine was a good experience, bring a vest, it is cool. I really liked hiking up to the fortress. Lunch in the village was nice. We made an extra stop at a small nunnery and at the gorge for those who were interested in zip lining. The group was only 4 and the guide went out of his way to make it a nice tour.
Lovely day out with Mihai, very diverse, from a tremendously deep and impressive salt mine to a culturally Hungarian village, all set in beautiful and peaceful Romanian countryside. Mihai was knowledgable and knows all the right spots including excellent restaurants.
Such a fantastic day trip and unique places to visit. Thanks to the experience of the tour guide and his knowledge, I got to enjoy my time here.
It was an amazing experience Andrei was so passionate that all his enthusiasm was transmitted to us and we had the time of our lives. He was very helpful and knowledgeable The pick-up service was highly appreciated The places we visited were so much more interesting from what I expected
Fascinating tour and the salt mine was really interesting and amazing and much better than anticipated. Mihail, our guide, was very knowledgeable and charming and as far as the visits to Rimetea and Coltesti were concerned we were handicapped by very wet weather conditions so did not walk up to the fortress but he was very accommodating and drove us up to a vantage point where we were able to get a good view of it. Lunch at super Hungarian restaurant and interesting commentary on the way to and from central Cluj-Napoca.
A fantastic day out. The salt mine is very interesting and well worth a visit. Our children enjoyed it too, especially playing the table tennis and other activities inside the mine. The countryside around Coltesti is beautiful, as is the old Hungarian village of Rimetea. We went on a weekday which meant we had the place to ourselves. Our guide George was incredibly patient and kind and answered all of our questions. I really recommend this experience.
