Adolfo and Diana were great guides and very engaging. The sights were beautiful and everyone in our group enjoyed the day. Mobility challenged member was able to participate in almost all activities!
My Switzerland Birthday-Trip was absolutely unforgettable from start to finish. Every destination was breathtaking, well-organized, and thoughtfully planned, making it such a special way to celebrate. A huge thank you to Angela and Olga for making the experience even more memorable with their kindness, professionalism, and warm energy throughout the tour. They truly went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and cared for. Thanks to them, my birthday trip felt stress-free, fun, and full of amazing memories. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience the beauty of Switzerland with wonderful guides!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
it was a wonderful trip to Grindelwald! we also did a sidetrip to Lauterbrunnen and Interlaken. It was such a fun trip. the bus we rode was great. the driver was skillful and safe (great job antonio!) and we had a very good tour guide in Robert (Henry Danger look alike) ( from the US hit tv show). He guided us through out the trip, giving is tips at even offering to take our picture from time to time. he managed the group with ease and confidence. shout out to Robert! we went to Switzerland July to August (summertime) the weather is nice, not too cold. we had a fun day!
This was a fantastic way to enjoy the sights of Grindelwald at your own pace. The experience begins with a scenic gondola ride from the village, taking you up to three different stops, each offering unique activities. At the summit, you’ll find a cliff walk with breathtaking views of the Alps—so high up, you’re nearly eye-level with the paragliders! There’s also a restaurant at the top with great food and solid service. The lower stops offer options like bike rentals and paragliding, so there’s plenty to do beyond just the views. A few helpful tips: 1. Buy your gondola ticket at the village kiosk—it’s cheaper than booking online. If you’re staying locally, ask your host for a guest card, which can save you up to 15%. 2. Book paragliding or biking in advance to secure your spot. 3. Go early in the morning to avoid crowds, especially if you plan to do multiple activities. 4. While you don’t need to be super athletic, you should be comfortable walking without assistance, especially for getting on and off the gondola and the cliff walk. Highly recommend this experience—it’s a stunning and flexible way to take in the beauty of Grindelwald.
The view was amazing had a great time, the tour guide, Bernadette was really nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend
The best day tour ever, Grindelwald is absolutely stunning watching it from the top.The tourist guide Manuel was amazing .Highly recommend the day trip from Zurich to Grindelwald and Interlaken day tour.
The tour ran smoothly and our tour director (Bernadette) was exceptional in her communication and knowledge From the moment we departed, we were left mesmerized by the beauty of nature The First was definitely the highlight The chair lift is easy to find and enjoyable We had the famous cheese fondu at the restaurant at the top and it was tasty as expected We took the trotter bikes down the hill and that was spectacular. Felt like it was spending a slice of time in heaven
strongly suggest not to book the tour with this irresponsible company! We were not late but got left behind in Interlaken and was told to take the train back to Zurich on our own! Why would I join your tour at first if I were to take my own transport?! We were in a group of four, booked this Grindelwald First- Top of adventure on 15th April, and the tour guide left us in Interlaken and headed back to Zurich themselves! So unbelievable! We were at the meeting point 10mins before and we waited for almost 50 minutes there, while waiting we saw another tour guide from the same company and he told us that our tour guide was coming soon that’s why we did contact the tour company. 20mins after the meeting time, we contacted the company and they said there was a misunderstanding so they left without us, this is so unacceptable, we never told the tour guide we gonna stay in Interlaken! The tour guide always made headcount at each meeting time, when number was not tally, they didn’t try to contact us and we were not given the contact of the tour guide as well. The main thing is we followed the itinerary of the tour and arrived 10 mins earlier at the pickup point, we should not be left behind just like this! We were not late and did not make any deviations from the itinerary of the information booklet they provided! Moreover, our trip should include a train ticket from Grindelwald Station to Interlaken Ost but we were only provided a ticket in the bus so we thought that was a pass which including the cable car and the train as in the information booklet it says “ticket provided”. Ended up we almost got fined CHF90 penalty each as we failed to show valid train tickets. We are from other countries and we are not familiar with the transportation system of Switzerland, the tour guide knew what we booked and she should have given us the train ticket with the cable car ticket as this is what was inclusive with the price that we paid for this tour! I really don’t get why they didn’t provide the tickets all together. This is the WORST experience ever, we were so exhausted but still had to find our way back to Zurich. I have joined many tours in many countries before, none was unprofessional like this. I would definitely not recommend this company to friends and would never take any tour from this “Worst of Switzerland tour” company again
Dear Safari58, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are truly sorry to hear that the day did not develop as expected and that it left you feeling disappointed. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience this caused during your return journey. Our Grindelwald First – Top of Adventure tour includes both the cable car experience and a return train ride from Grindelwald to Interlaken. It is unfortunate that the train ticket was not provided to your group as it should have been, and we understand how this added unnecessary stress. We are looking into this to ensure this detail is not overlooked in the future. On that day in your bus there were not only passengers travelling to Mount First, but also guests doing our Grindelwald, Interlaken & Lauterbrunnen tour. Guests that go to Mount First always have the possibility of joining the bus to go to Lauterbrunnen at no extra charge. Regrettably, due to a misunderstanding during the coordination process, your presence was mistakenly confirmed, and the bus proceeded back to Zurich without stopping in Interlaken. We truly regret that this happened and understand how frustrating it must have been to be waiting without clear communication. Although we were eventually contacted later in the evening, at that stage it was unfortunately too late for us to organize an alternative transfer back to Zurich, and for that reason you had to go back by train. As discussed, we have already processed the corresponding refund to reimburse the costs of your return journey to Zurich, and we hope this helps to somewhat offset the inconvenience you experienced. Once again, we are very sorry that your day with us did not meet the high standards we strive for. We do hope you might consider giving us another chance in the future to provide the smooth and memorable experience we are proud to offer to so many of our guests. Best regards, Clara from Best of Switzerland Tours
The views on the bus were stunning, and our guide Andrea was incredible, very lovely and full of fun and interesting facts. Would highly recommend.
This is a business that is false advertising online and over the counter. They are purposely selling services to mislead customers knowing the weather impacts their services with a rehearsed statement when customers complain. We arrived at the counter of Grindelwald-First - Top of Adventure to purchase two tickets for the Adventure pack (unlimited gondola rides + 2 activities). Only to be told told their website is not up to date and this can no longer be purchased anymore. Furthmore, the activities are now sold separately at each of the stops and only 'they' (assuming the providers) know their availability when you get there. To add more insult, the Mountain Carts and Trottibikes are now sold as 'summer' activities and no longer available in the winter. However, on their website it clearly states this as being winter and summer activies with date periods provided. I then mentioned we would only be seeing the First Cliff Walk presented by Tissot for the view, due to the lack of activities available to be told "that's fine and you will need a return ticket" We purchased two adults tickets £114 for the gondola ride. We were told First Cliff Walk presented by Tissot was 'free' to see. We got on to the gondola for it to be surrounded by clouds and frost on the exterior of the glass, unable to see any of the panoramic views. We then arrived at the final stop (First) to see the First Cliff Walk presented by Tissot for its views. We were incredibly disappointed as the view was hidden in a white cloud/mist, where we were unable to see anything at an arms length. We then returned back to the counter, mentioned we were unhappy and provided pictures and videos as evidence. We mentioned we would like to return tomorrow (exchange) or if it's possible to be provided with a refund. We were given a rehearsed statement by two seperate individuals both saying "it's non-refundable, as we provide tickets to only the gondolas and we fulfilled those services". However, I explained that I purchased the tickets to see the view and mentioned this to the sales advisor as the counter before purchasing tickets for the First Walk. I also stated that these tickets should not have been sold to customers as its unfair, knowing you are aware the weather/cloud impacts the view. I was told "it is not our obligation to tell customers, and to view cameras online before purchasing" or looking at their tiny LCD in the counter office in the corner. They were incredibly unhelpful and I was told there is nothing they could do. This is a business that is false advertising online and over the counter. They are purposely selling services to mislead customers knowing the weather impacts their services with a rehearsed statement when customers complain. The Swiss Commission for Fairness needs to take a stand to support tourism and prevent companies like this from misleading tourists.
Dear 259ravs, Thank you for sharing your feedback on your experience. We’re genuinely sorry to hear about your disappointing experience at Grindelwald-First and understand how weather conditions can impact your day, especially when scenic views are a major part of the attraction. However, we would like to clarify that we are not in charge of Grindelwald-First cable car station or the other services you mention. We are a separate business, and this review seems to pertain to another company. We suggest reaching out directly to Jungfrau.ch for further assistance regarding your concerns about the ticketing and weather-related issues. If you’re interested in exploring other parts of Switzerland, we would be happy to welcome you on one of our tours. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you’d like more information about our offerings or to book a future tour. We hope you are still able to enjoy the rest of your stay in Switzerland, and we would be happy to welcome you on one of our tours, perhaps in the summer when the weather is more favorable. Best regards, Magdalena from Best of Switzerland Tours
