Changunarayan Hill to Telkot Hike, cerca de Katmandu Day Tour, es una excelente excursión de un día para escapar de la vida de la ciudad por un tiempo. Esta caminata es para las personas que quieren escapar del ajetreo y el bullicio de la vida de la ciudad y probar algunas actividades de aventura fáciles mientras disfrutan de la naturaleza. Este es un recorrido diferente al turismo. Es una mezcla de historia, cultura y caminata por la naturaleza fuera del valle de Katmandú. Comienza desde el templo más antiguo de Nepal, Changunarayan, y los antiguos asentamientos de aldeas en sus alrededores en la cima de la colina. Después de una hermosa visita nos dirigimos hacia Telkot. Pasamos por pequeños pueblos, bosques y algunas granjas en terrazas. Si el tiempo está despejado veremos una vista panorámica de las Montañas.

Itinerario
Esta excursión de senderismo será de 7 horas en total. Comenzamos a las 10 a. m. desde Katmandú y conducimos una hora hasta la colina Changunarayan. Su primera visita será una visita turística de 1 hora al Templo Changunarayan Vishnu y el pueblo que lo rodea. Es uno de los templos antiguos que data del siglo IV, lleva la historia de Nepal en piedras talladas. En el pueblo, veremos muchas pequeñas tiendas de artesanías que hacen tallas de madera y hermosas casas de estilo antiguo. Desde la cima, vea una increíble terraza verde y exuberantes colinas verdes. Después de visitar el templo, tomaremos un descanso de 1 hora en los restaurantes locales y probaremos algo de comida local como almuerzo y luego continuaremos nuestra caminata a Telkot.
Nuestra caminata desde Changu Narayan a Telkot será suave. Nuestra caminata será de 3 horas a través de hermosos pueblos y selvas rurales. Tendremos la oportunidad de ver la cordillera panorámica del Himalaya si el clima está despejado. Existe una gran posibilidad de ver diferentes aves silvestres, como la urraca azul, y experimentar la vida típica de un pueblo de montaña. En el camino descansaremos en un pequeño puesto de té y disfrutaremos de la hermosa vista panorámica del valle de Katmandú. Es una caminata refrescante sobre las colinas. Visitaremos un puente colgante para vivir una experiencia emocionante. Regreso de 1 hora a Katmandú.

Starting with a beautiful temple and finishing with a long suspension bridge the walk was straightforward and just enough for our last day in Kathmandu. Thanks for a great day in the sun

The tour was excellent. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was always looking to make sure I had a good time. I also liked that this tour was a bot more remote (45 minute drive from Thamel) so there weren't big crowds and the atmosphere was relaxed.

Anjal was fantastic hike guide. She explained the wildlife and the area as we travelled through. The views were spectacular, with a great shot of the Himalayas through the trees. It is a gentle walk suitable for all. I would highly recommend.

Start early in the morning because this is a long hike. October is the perfect month to do this hike as the weather is absolutely lovely. Snacks and water is highly recommended as always (you already know that if you’re a hiker like me). Stopping often to listen and viewing the birds is a must. I’ve seen several species of beautiful birds. You’ll pass by villages, just wave at the locals as they like seeing hikers. The breathtaking view of the valley is the perfect time to take pictures. I took a deep breath as I reached the temple because this is one of the enjoyable hike I did in Nepal.
