Excursión de safari en quad o buggy en vehículos todo terreno en el desierto del Sinaí de Sharm El Sheikh

I booked the Quad experience with Stepway Tours and it couldn't be organised better. From the pick-up with the bus, to the arrival in the Safari Location to the briefing and the quad ride itself. The are is beautiful - between the Sinai mountains - and I'd recommend going for sunset time. Prefare for a lot of dust and a lot of fun!

It was all a bit meh. It was very chaotic at the start. We got out of our transfer vehicle and joined groups from about 7 other vans. We had no idea where to go or what we should be doing. After about a 15 min wait, we were told we needed scarfs and glasses to protect from the dust. We were not told this at any point before and we only had sunglasses with us - we had to buy the scarfs from them. We were charged $5 for a very poor quality scarf - that lasted about as long as the quad experience. The scarf is necessary so either bring your own or buy from them. They do help tie it so it is secure. That is the extent of the safety equipment. Onto the quads. We had paid for two double quads - which looked like all the other quads. We just had to sit a kid either in front or behind. They look like they’ve done some miles but they all ran and worked fine. We drove off into the dusty mountains. There were 10’s of quads from all the other groups doing the same route and so it felt a bit mad max. But was fun. They keep you in groups and you cannot really go very fast or fall out of line with your group. There is a stop about 10-15 mins in for some Bedouin girls to sell you bracelets and ask for a donation - quite aggressively, and the for the group to stand in a row and shout into echo mountain. Then back onto quads to get to the camel riding. My daughter was thoroughly unimpressed and opted out of the camel ride and so my husband stood back with her. I went on a camel, as did my son. They walked us about 20 yards from the main group and begged me for money. Saying I could pay them a tip by card if I didn’t have cash. I had to raise my voice to get them to stop begging for tips and return me to my family. The ride is literally 2 mins of riding, some begging and then two mins back. Then back onto quads to stop at a tent set up for shisha and tea. The stop lasts about 10 mins and after tea we were aggressively asked for money and tips for photographs. Which were all out of focus and blurry. We declined again. Next, back to the quads back to where we started. We were wanting to get a bit of speed and enjoy the dessert but were told no. We drove in an orderly line back to the start and dismounted. We were supposed to go for Bedouin dinner and a show, but we opted out and asked to be taken back to the hotel. I couldn’t face an evening of being begged for tips so we went home. I would NOT do this experience again.

Amazing experience and once in a lifetime to do! Take water and your own headscarf/sunglasses or you’ll have to pay (but not much) to rent them. People speak a good amount of English to tell instructions.

the experience with the quad was definitely very nice and fun. the desert is very suggestive while driving you have time to admire its beauty. I had also booked the Bedouin dinner and the show. I was expecting something more authentic as the blonde dinner was actually served in some sort of restaurant and we ate rice and potatoes. The show was TERRIBLE, they used monkey snakes and other reptiles, poor abused animals used for what? it's not funny to see animals tied up or locked in cages. if the show was this at least it should have been written in the description of the experience.

The buggy where fine but I'm not to happy with camera feller because I'm not married he said while we were sitting in the tent he'd take my girlfriend away from me ,for himself well back home in liverpool England in a pub or a bar I would of knocked him out ( punched him ) I took that as a insult and told him that he said he was joking and I said you don't joke about stuff like that ,iv been with my girlfriend 28 years so he had a cheek ,he wanted £30 for his photos I gave him roughly £10 only because he was like a little fly ,so he ruined the quad experience i was gonner rebook for the weekend but no thanks ,pick up driver was excellent Thankyou

The view of the desert is something really fascinating. Among all the activities, the quad bike ride was undoubtedly my favorite! I highly recommend choosing a single quad bike to fully enjoy the experience and enjoy the freedom of the desert.

I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to Step Way Company for their good treatment and excellence in providing the best trips at the level of the companies I have dealt with previously. The experience with them was the best experience I have had in Sharm El Sheikh.

Had an amazing buggy safari with you guys the views were amazing and were very well looked after by everyone, would highly recommend this trip if your looking for a fun couple of hours.
