We booked what was described as a half-day Nadi Mud Bath tour. Based on that description, we expected exactly that—a mud bath experience. Unfortunately, that was not what we received. Our pickup was at 8:00 a.m., but instead of heading to the mud baths, we spent hours driving to multiple stops that were never clearly described. We were taken to the local market (which we had already visited the previous day), a farmers market, and the Garden of the Sleeping Giant. By the time we finally reached the mud baths, it was already 1:00 p.m. The amount of driving was excessive, and every stop felt underwhelming. Had the itinerary been accurately described beforehand, we would have chosen a different excursion. The mud bath itself was also disappointing. Rather than a guided spa-style experience, everyone shared buckets of mud to apply themselves before entering what was essentially a muddy pit with large rocks underneath. You sink knee-deep into the mud and need to watch every step. There were a few warm pools afterward, but the entire experience felt far different from what had been portrayed. The surrounding area was also lined with souvenir stalls, making it feel more commercial than relaxing. The return trip made an already disappointing day even worse. Since we were the last guests to be dropped off, we spent the longest time on the bus. Once everyone else had been dropped off, the driver began making and receiving personal phone calls through the bus speakers. We counted 12 calls. The conversations were loud, constant, and continued for much of the journey. He also pulled over several times to use his phone. It was unprofessional and made what should have been a peaceful ride back extremely unpleasant. We didn't return to our hotel until 4:30 p.m.—an 8½-hour day for what was advertised as a half-day mud bath tour. This was, unfortunately, the worst excursion and transportation experience of our entire Fiji vacation. It left a disappointing final impression as we prepared to leave such a beautiful country. I cannot recommend this tour based on our experience.

Firstly, Westerzaif Tours does not offer or advertise a tour package that is listed as one location visit “Mud bath Only.” The tour booked and paid for through your resort was our Nadi Half-Day Tour, which includes the main highlights of Nadi such as the temple, Nadi Town and markets, the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, and the Hot Springs Mud Pool as the final stop. For this reason, we always recommend that guests carefully read the brochure or review the full itinerary on our website prior to booking, so they have a clear understanding of what is included in the tour. Your pickup location at Marriott is also outside the main Nadi area. On many occasions, guests staying outside Nadi are required to make their own way to a designated pickup point. However, we accommodated pickup directly from your resort. As Marriott is located farther away from the main attraction sites, travel time is naturally longer compared to guests staying in Nadi or Denarau. In addition, there were delays during the tour while our guide had to locate one of your friends or family members in town, while other guests were waiting on the bus. These small delays can affect the overall schedule and return time. It is also important to note that this was a shared group tour and not a private or personalized transfer. Therefore, our team must follow the group tour route and drop-off sequence, including dropping off guests in the Nadi area before proceeding toward the Coral Coast resort area. Regarding the Hot Springs and Mud Pool experience, this activity is operated by the local community. They aim to keep the experience authentic and locally run, giving visitors a unique cultural experience. We take guests there daily, and the majority of our guests are satisfied and enjoy the opportunity to experience a community-operated attraction. In relation to your concern about phone usage, all our drivers are strictly instructed to use Bluetooth when connected to their phone or to safely stop the vehicle before using their phone, in line with passenger safety requirements. If your main interest was to visit only the mud bath, we would have highly recommended booking a private tour at an additional cost. A private tour could have taken you directly from your resort to the Mud Pool location without the other scheduled sightseeing stops. However, many of our group tour guests are interested in visiting the different attractions along the way so they can make the most of their time while holidaying in Fiji. Finally, if you felt at the beginning of the tour that the itinerary was not what you had booked, this should have been raised with our guide at the first stop. We would then have been able to review the matter immediately and, if necessary, cancel your booking on the spot. Once again, we regret that the tour did not meet your expectations. We value all guest feedback and will continue to use it to improve our communication, service delivery, and overall guest experience.
This tour offered a great introduction to Nadi and Fiji. Our guide, Raijieli, offered us a perfect narrative of facts, with humor. The tour included all points as outlined in the brochure. An excellent value. Afterwards our guide arranged the most convenient drop off points for all. Raijeli arranged transportation to pick me up after a later activity. We were coddled!

Guide James was very entertaining and knowledgeable along with driver Bobby who kept us safe and on time. This is an easy introduction to Nadi area with best bits for me a visit to a village, school where the children sang to us, a wonderful orchid tropical garden and the finale of mud pool therapy. Don't be put off by a stop for shopping, Jack's store is in fact a smart department store well worth a wonder around.

We enjoyed our half day out. Our host was very informative through the entire trip especially the temple and mudpools. Highly recommend a massage while at the mudpools. The tour at the garden of sleeing giant was also interesting, beautiful scenery. The stop at the farmers market wasn’t really worth a stop, but still a chance to walk through a market we wouldn’t stop at. Nice trip to pack in a lot of Nandi in a morning.

We booked this tour as I wanted to see the temple and the gardens of the sleeping giant. We were picked up at our hotel and the driver was friendly and welcoming. It would have been nice to have had more commentary at the temple, the driver only gave information when asked. The tour of the gardens was lovely and our guide, John, was knowledgeable and pointed out all the key flowers to look out for. The tour lasted about 45-60 mins. Not much of an opportunity to explore by yourself but we were happy with what we saw. After this we went to a visit and the lady was very friendly and welcoming. We then went to Rosie’s house (who owns Rosie’s holiday who we booked through). We were then taken to a fruit and veg market. To be honest, we could have done without these stops as we didn’t get much from them (Rosie’s was nice as it gave good view of Nadi and we were welcomed with drink and fruit). It was about an hour back to the hotel so it was a long day of travelling, from around 8:15 am and we arrived back at 3 pm (a little later than planned) and that’s why it would have been better to have had a chance to grab a bite to eat (the market didn’t accept card). It was good to do if you’re interested in seeing Nadi and aren’t staying in the area.

This is one of the best half-day trips my wife and I have done anywhere. The hotel pickup and return were very smooth, and our driver Anil was friendly and careful on the winding roads. Our tour guide, Rachel, was exceptional. She communicated clearly about what to expect throughout the tour, and reminded us of which items to take at each stop. Rachel gave helpful information at each stop--the Nadi Hindu Temple, Nadi town shopping and nearby fruit market, Garden of the Sleeping Giant, and the hot spring and mud pools. More importantly, she displayed unwavering kindness to each person on the trip, assisting them in any way needed at every stop. Rachel took some amazing photos for everyone at the hot spring and mud pools. We enjoyed every stop on the tour, as well as the cameraderie of our group. If you are looking for a great introduction to Fiji highlights around Nadi town, you should take this tour!

Last week, I was in Nadi for a conference, and my wife and I decided to explore on our final day. Our hotel, the Hilton Fiji Resort, arranged a tour for us with Westerzaif Tours, and it was absolutely incredible. We visited the Shiva temple, explored local markets, strolled through beautiful gardens, and even relaxed at the Mud Pools. Our guide was fantastic—super friendly and full of interesting facts about the island. The pricing was very reasonable, and the experience was top-notch.
