Ayutthaya Sunset Ride es una divertida excursión en bicicleta de 3-4 horas para permitir a los participantes admirar las ruinas del templo bellamente iluminadas después del atardecer, ¡una experiencia única! Este es el lugar donde comenzamos y terminamos nuestros tours. Después de seleccionar las bicicletas adecuadas y ajustar el asiento, le daremos instrucciones y un casco de bicicleta (si lo prefiere) y nos iremos.
Wat Phra Si Sanphet (en tailandés: วัด พระ ศรี สรร เพ ช ช ญ์; "Templo de los Santos, Esplendor Omnisciente") fue el templo más sagrado en el sitio del antiguo Palacio Real en la antigua capital de Tailandia, Ayutthaya, hasta que la ciudad fue completamente destruida por los birmanos en 1767. Era el templo más grande y hermoso de la capital y sirvió de modelo para Wat Phra Kaew en Bangkok.
Wat Mahathat, "el templo de la Gran Reliquia" fue uno de los templos más importantes en el Reino de Ayutthaya. Ubicado en la isla histórica, el gran monasterio cuenta con un gran centro de atención, un gran viharn principal y ubosot y un gran número de chedis y viharns subsidiarios. La parte superior de su una vez masiva central se ha derrumbado. Hoy solo queda la base. Wat Lokaya Sutha es una ruina masiva del templo. Está alineado hacia un eje este / oeste. El monasterio ha sido fuertemente restaurado, incluyendo baldosas y pisos de ladrillo en todo. La mayor parte del templo existe solo en el nivel básico de cimentación. Esto incluye algunos talones de pilares y paredes básicas. En la entrada este se encuentran los restos de tres vihans. Detrás de estas salas de sermones hay un gran tamaño de 30 metros, en el período Ayutthaya Tardío, y el estilo Khmer. Esta torre prang tiene una entrada hueca en su lado este. Los restos de un ubsot se pueden ver detrás del prang. Solo la capa de base básica ha sobrevivido, pero hay muchas piedras sema y los detritos de las imágenes de Buda. Un gran campanario se encuentra en la esquina suroeste de esta ubosot. El punto culminante de este templo es su enorme imagen de Buda reclinado (37 metros de largo y 8 metros de altura), que se encuentra detrás de la ubosot.
Ayuthaya es famoso por sus dulces bocadillos musulmanes, curry y nám prík (salsa picante), y el bullicioso mercado encubierto de Chao Phrom Market es el lugar para encontrarlos, además de una variedad de platos tailandés-chinos y otros musulmanes. Las horas de operación de este mercado diurno dependen de proveedores individuales, pero se encuentran en su punto máximo durante la tarde.

You drive a lot along the highway where cars rush by. There was only 1 guide. She was leading the way and didn't look back. Sometimes I stayed a bit behind and hoped to catch up again. She had a bike with a lot of gears. I asked if it could be slowed down, but we were in a hurry. (It was 32 degrees though) All in all I thought it was irresponsible and irresponsible. Glad I wasn't with my son. The guide was nice but rode ahead and didn't see if we followed.

Om een persoonlijke ervaring te waarborgen, hebben we ervoor gekozen om met één gids te werken, wat voor een kleinere groep als de uwe normaal gesproken voldoende is. Het is echter belangrijk om te horen dat dit niet aan uw verwachtingen voldeed. Wat betreft het tempo en de communicatie met de gids, begrijpen we dat dit voor u een punt van frustratie was. We had a wonderful evening on this tour. Our lovely guide Bella took us safely around the town visiting many sites at night. Our guide was knowledgeable and showed us a great time. It was so nice being abke to see the Wats when it was quiet. The cycling was easy and the meal at the end was great. Fantastic night with Bella.

We had an amazing time cycling through town with Bella! The office where you meet up is a little bit out of the way but you can get there easily by Grab or tuk tuk (or motorbike if you have one). Once we arrived we were greeted by Bella and it turned out we were the only ones who booked that night, so it turned into a private cycling tour. We first took the ferry across the river which was really cool and cycled around until we arrived at Wat Mahathat, we then continued on for a stroll around the night market and tasted a few local snacks/appetisers which were all great! After this we continued Wat Phra Ram and Wat Phra Si Sanphet before we stopped at a very local spot for dinner. Bella ordered a hunch of dishes for us to try and all of them were very delicious and we had never tried before. We were also the only foreigners in this place which tells you how local it was, we absolutely loved this! After dinner we finished the tour by cycling back to the office. All in all this was an amazing experience and a huge thanks to Bella for making this tour so enjoyable. Just be aware that since this is in the evening the Wats will be closed so you'll enjoy them from outside the grounds, which is still very impressive. Highly recommended doing this tour to give you a different perspective of the city at night.

The bikes were in great condition. Our guide was really knowledgeable and personable. We saw some amazing sites, and a particular highlight was standing at the top of one of the temples, as the sunset, as the bats were flying out of the temple en masse! Just stunning!
