Después de salir de Queenstown, nuestra primera parada icónica es Cromwell, 'Fruit Bowl of the South', y sus grandes esculturas de frutas. Cromwell es el centro de Central Otago, la famosa región vinícola de Pinot Noir.
En el camino hacia Mount Cook, viajaremos a través del dramático Lindis Pass. Maravíllate ante el espectacular paisaje de campo alto a medida que pasamos desde Central Otago hacia la cuenca Mackenzie.
Hacemos una breve parada en el pintoresco pueblo de Omarama, donde tendrá la oportunidad de tomar un refrigerio o comida para llevar para almorzar en Mt Cook. Desde aquí, pasaremos por los canales de Twizel y nos dirigiremos hacia las brillantes aguas azules del lago Pukaki.
Antes de ingresar a Mount Cook Village, nos detendremos junto a las orillas del lago Pukaki, el lago más grande de la zona, que muestra con orgullo el pico más alto de Nueva Zelanda, Aoraki/ Mount Cook.
Bienvenido a Mount Cook Village. Aquí tendrá algo de tiempo libre para disfrutar de este espectacular lugar. Elija dar un paseo hasta el lago Mueller para ver de cerca los glaciares de Mt Sefton, camine por Hooker Valley Track o aproveche la oportunidad de experimentar una de las increíbles actividades que Mt Cook tiene para ofrecer.
Luego comenzamos el viaje de regreso a Queenstown. Después de un ajetreado día disfrutando de las vistas, aproveche la oportunidad para relajarse y disfrutar del increíble paisaje. Le daremos la oportunidad de estirar las piernas durante todo el viaje, regresando a Queenstown aproximadamente a las 7:30 p.m.

- Mount Cook es un entorno alpino y es importante llevar ropa abrigada, chubasquero y calzado cómodo para caminar.
- Hooker Valley Trek es una ruta de senderismo del DOC (Departamento de Conservación), y recomendamos que solo aquellos con una condición física media completen todo el recorrido (dependiendo del clima). The trip was amazing and contained a few highlights, including the hooker valley trek and a paid upgrade option to experience alpine snow landing. Everything was smoothly organised and run by the tour operators (altitude) and our guide for the day, Sinchan, was amazing, helpful and super knowledgeable.

Tour to Mount Cook was fantastic. Lovely sunny day meant beautiful views both along the way and at Mount Cook. Walked to Hooker Trail for more great views. James and Nicole were great- friendly and informative. Altitude tours ran everything well from great communication before tour, pickup on time and comfy van. Will tour with them again!!.

We absolutely loved our Mount Cook day trip with Stuart and Caleb! We got lucky with a beautifully clear day and our time at Mount Cook and the Hooker Valley Track walk and Alpine Center lunch was perfect. Our guides had entertaining and informational commentary and we enjoyed getting to chat with them and learning more about the area. We even had time for a few fun stops on the way and got to see more of the landscape. We would 100% book with Altitude again!

Our first tour going to Mt. Cook was full of knowledge, smiles and laughter even when we were still in the van. SinChan deserves a pay rise, promotion and an award. He is such a passionate tour guide. His vibe is just amazing. We had a number of tour guides before but this man is just outstanding in all aspects. Absolutely incredible day tour from Queenstown to Mount Cook National Park. Sinchan was our driver and tour guide and would absolutely recommend him. He was energetic, fun and very knowledgeable! The drive itself was beautiful as was Mount Cook National Park. As per Sinchan’s recommendation we did a 25 minute helicopter ride which was an experience I recommend for all! Landing ontop of a mountain and looking down at a glacier was incredible! Definitely the highlight of the trip

We had such an amazing time to Mt Cook yesterday. We made multiple stops along the way with the most stunning views. We were also lucky enough to do a 25minute helicopter ride which was such a bucket list moment. We couldn’t recommend our tour guide enough - Sinchan was so knowledgeable and made our experience so smooth and comfortable.

Did the tour to Mt Cook and option of 25 min yesterday 24 April. Tour guide Chelsea was very knowledgeable and ensured we all had a great time. Even stopped to get an awesome sunset photo on the way back to Queenstown. Recommend the Heli ride ! Bonkaz!
