¿Buscas una excursión de un día fuera de Addis Abeba? Viajar a Wenchi Crater Lake es una buena opción para pasar sus vacaciones de fin de semana. El lago Wenchi Crater está a 155 km al oeste de Addis Abeba, entre Ambo y Weliso. Un volcán extinto, cuya cima se encuentra a 3380 metros sobre el nivel del mar, es un cráter que contiene un gran lago, aguas termales, cascadas, hermosos valles y tierras de cultivo. Hay un antiguo monasterio con una iglesia situada en una de las islas del lago.

Itinerario
Conduciremos hacia el oeste desde Addis Abeba hasta el lago Wenchi. A 155 km al oeste de Addis Abeba, en el camino a Ambo y Welliso, este lago era un volcán extinto (cuya cima está a 3380 metros sobre el nivel del mar). El cráter contiene un gran lago, aguas termales, cascadas y valles hermosos y tierras de cultivo y monasterio de Kirkos y el valle de aguas termales. Después de la visita, regreso a Addis Abeba. Más tarde será trasladado a donde quiera para su partida.

Ethio Travel and Tours were were friendly and professional to deal with and felt like a great local companion to help plan my Ethiopian experience. I had the same guide Biruk and driver Fakr for several tours and they were fantastic: capable, informative and friendly. Wonchi lake itself is beautiful and absolutely worth the trip out from Addis. The gorge walk particularly was some of the most beautiful scenery I've seen anywhere. Would thoroughly recommend Wonchi Lake and Ethio Travel and Tours
Very long drive. 4 hours there not 2 hrs. So 8 hours in total. The lake is beautiful but only there for around 2 hours including lunch. If the description had been accurate I would not have booked as 8 hours in a car is not fun in 1 day.
Albeit long the destination was worth the travail getting there. Took a boat ride on the lake to an island there. There was road construction on the way slowing our progress but hopefully future travelers will have smooth roads. On the way back we were stooped by military authorities who apparently were displeased by our speed of transport. After looking at our passports and hearing the driver's explanation that this was a tour we were given permission to continue back to Addis Ababa. I would live to add photos of my trip but my phone was stolen on my last day in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
The day trip to the lake Wonchi is amazing the lake was so beautiful and was really agreat place for refreshing. Ethio Travel and Tours have done a wonderful job on this trip.
