When I was planning my trip to Ho Chi Minh City, I really wanted to visit Vung Tau because I wanted to see the famous Jesus Christ Statue and enjoy the beautiful beach. However, I didn’t feel confident going there by myself. While searching on Viator, I found this tour program and decided to book it. I chose the “Small Group” tour option. Thanks to this trip, I was able to enjoy the places I had wanted to visit, including the Jesus Christ Statue and the beautiful beach, even though I was traveling alone. Most of all, the bus provided for this tour was comfortable, and the guide was extremely kind and helpful. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to visit Vung Tau on their own.

the trip is so much fun when you have a good and very nice tour guide ( daniel ) very very recommend to guide by him 👍🏻 the trip is more so much fun and enjoyable and the way he explain to us about the tour is so detail and useful for us ! and the importanly the tour guide makes us comfortable for the whole trip

It’s a lovely experience, visiting Iconic beaches, Statue of Christ, The Fishermen Temple. Lovely lunch . Tour guide, Mr Happy is very helpful, very informative also did a great job suggesting great spots for photo shoots. He takes great photos too ! He did well in making sure that everyone is ok when climbing up the mountain to Statue of Christ . All in all it’s a great day tour experience !

We booked what was advertised as a VIP full-day tour to Vung Tau and came away genuinely surprised by how far it missed the mark. From the start, the transportation raised concerns—the van smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and not all seat belts were functional. For a full-day tour, that alone made the experience uncomfortable and, at times, concerning. The guiding itself was minimal. At several stops, we were given little to no context or explanation and were effectively left to explore on our own. There was also very limited effort to communicate across the group, and I ended up translating for other guests during parts of the day. The lunch stop did not meet basic expectations for cleanliness or comfort. Food was already sitting out with flies present, and guests were seated in less favorable conditions while staff and drivers were accommodated separately. It’s also worth noting that although lunch was included, beverages were not, and this was not clearly communicated in advance, leading to unexpected additional costs. Overall, the experience did not align with what was presented as a VIP tour. While travel always involves some variability, this felt like a significant gap between the advertised experience and what was delivered. I would recommend looking carefully at other options before booking.

We booked the Vung Tau Full-Day VIP Tour expecting a higher-quality, professionally guided experience. Unfortunately, it fell far below even basic standards. The vehicle itself was in poor condition, with a strong smell of cigarette smoke, and not all seat belts were functional—which is a serious safety concern. The guide provided minimal explanation at each stop and frequently disengaged from the group entirely, leaving guests to navigate on their own. Several stops were poorly maintained and did not align with the quality implied in the listing. The lunch experience was particularly disappointing: food was left exposed with flies present, and guests were seated in uncomfortable conditions while guides and drivers were accommodated separately and with fresh food. Communication was also a major issue. There was little effort to engage all guests, and I ended up translating Vietnamese for others due to the lack of guidance. Additionally, while lunch was included, it was not disclosed that basic drinks with lunch (like the traditionally free iced tea) were excluded, which led to unexpected out-of-pocket costs. Given that this was marketed as a VIP experience, the overall quality was especially concerning. This was not simply a matter of personal preference—it was a failure to deliver a safe, sanitary, and professionally guided tour as advertised. I would strongly encourage others to consider alternative operators.
