Descripción
La ciudad de Petra, la capital de los árabes nabateos, es uno de los sitios arqueológicos más famosos del mundo. Está situada a 240 km al sur de la capital Ammán y a 120 km al norte de la ciudad de Aqaba, en el Mar Rojo, Petra, la maravilla del mundo. Es sin duda el tesoro más valioso y la mayor atracción turística de Jordania, y es visitado por turistas de todo el mundo. No se sabe con precisión cuándo se construyó Petra, pero la ciudad comenzó a prosperar como capital del Imperio nabateo a partir del siglo I a.C., que se enriqueció gracias al comercio de incienso, mirra y especias. Más tarde, Petra fue anexada al Imperio Romano y continuó prosperando hasta que un gran terremoto en el año 363 d.C. destruyó gran parte de la ciudad en el siglo IV d.C.

Itinerario
Lo recogeremos en cualquier lugar de Aqaba y lo llevaremos a Petra con una breve parada en el camino. Tardaremos aproximadamente 2 horas en llegar al Centro de Visitantes de Petra, donde comenzaremos nuestro recorrido a pie hacia la octava maravilla del mundo. Después de caminar 800 m, llegaremos al Siq (un canal de roca que mide 1200 metros de largo, de 3 a 12 metros de ancho y alcanza hasta 80 metros de altura). El Siq se abre a la fachada más magnífica de Petra: el Tesoro o Al Khazna. Después del Tesoro, el camino se ensancha en una amplia Calle de Fachadas flanqueada a ambos lados por las tumbas que caracterizan todo el sitio. La Calle de Fachadas nos lleva al teatro de 5000 asientos, tallado justo en el medio de una importante zona de cementerio: frente al teatro en el lado occidental de Jebel Khubtha llegamos a nuestro punto final: las Tumbas Reales. Después de un recorrido por las Tumbas Reales, regreso a Aqaba. Las cuatro horas restantes son para el transporte.

I had an absolutely great experience.Loiy organized a mile ride and to take me to Wati Rum in the afternoon. Everything was seamless. I saw it all. Thank you. It was expensive but my time was critical. And so worth it😁
Overall the driver was very helpful, honest & clear , he saved us from a bunch of drivers who looked greedy and we definitely recommend this driver & his tours , we did tours in aqaba , even during the crisis in middle east ,he was helpful and didn't take advantage of us.

The Petra experience was an awesome trip from start to finish. Our driver Odai Hamideh "What's apped" us several days prior to the day of the trip to confirm the pickup location and time. His time was flexible because he asked us what time did we want to leave. Also we stayed in Aqaba outside of the pickup zone and he still was able to pickup us for a small fee. Once we got to Petra Odai recommended to take us around to the back entrance and go in there and end up at the main entrance when we were finished. That was a great idea because we got to see more and did not have to backtrack. Once we entered Petra we hired donkeys to take us up to the monestary and back. That was great because we covered more ground quicker. After that we continued our way through Petra taking in all of the beautiful structures along the way. Once we arrived at the Treasury we took a club car back to the entrance and that was recommended by our driver also. This is a remarkable place to visit and pictures do not do any justice. My advice is to enter in the back of Petra take the donkey for a distance and continue making your way to the main entrance because you can see more with less walking. Trip of a Lifetime!
AMAZING!! it was incredible... Petra is so breathtaking and well worth the walk! Our driver was really friendly spoke great english and was happy to stop as and when we needed. He suggested dropping us off at the end of the city, to walk back into petra, so we could see ALL of the sites not just the main treasury ( India Jones!). This took about 3hrs as a leisurely pace and saved us having to walk back another 3hrs! We were lucky, it wasn't busy at all. We got there at midday! Take plenty of water, as it's pretty dear there! There are plenty of toilets along the way to and little shops for last minute snacks. You pick up a map and follow it to see all 13 sights. Super easy! We got the Jordan pass, so this was included saving us the 50JD fee. The little market outside wasn't too pushy and let you look at leasure. As in all a fantastic day out and we'll worth the money. 10/10!
He was an awesome ride and suggested another route to take in Petra, his suggestion made our trip a whole lot better and enjoyable! I 100% recommend taking this trip!

The trip was very beautiful. We stayed at the Ayla Hotel and it was very beautiful. We visited Wadi Rum and Petra with a wonderful transportation service and the workers were nice, respectful and patient with us.
