La península se encuentra dentro del Parque Nacional Table Mountain, que es mundialmente conocido por su increíble biodiversidad. La Reserva Natural del Cabo de Buena Esperanza se extiende sobre el promontorio rocoso. Es una reserva natural protegida y hogar de una gran variedad de antílopes, la rara cebra de montaña del Cabo y otras especies animales únicas. También es un paraíso para las aves marinas, con 250 especies de aves registradas en la reserva. Cape Point es el extremo puntiagudo de la Península del Cabo. Es un hito reconocible al instante y, a menudo, se confunde con el extremo sur de África. Hay dos monumentos del patrimonio nacional en Cape Point que se construyeron para honrar a los exploradores más famosos del mundo: Vasco da Gama y Bartolomeu Dias (quien fue el primer explorador europeo en rodear Cape Point en 1488).

Itinerario
Nos dirigimos al pueblo pesquero de Hout Bay, sobre el espectacular Chapman's Peak Drive y hacia la pintoresca ciudad costera de Noordhoek. El recorrido panorámico por la península nos lleva a la magnífica Reserva Natural del Cabo de Buena Esperanza y a Cape Point. En Hout Bay, tiene la opción de tomar un crucero en barco a Seal Island (no incluido en la tarifa) o pasear por el popular puerto y muelle de marineros, donde se hará amigo de las amigables focas que aparecen para darle una palmadita. En la Reserva Natural del Cabo de Buena Esperanza, visitamos el famoso Faro de Cape Point. Tienes la opción de una caminata corta pero un poco empinada en un camino bien transitado hasta el faro o puedes tomar el funicular hasta la cima. La vista es espectacular y es posible que vea ballenas y delfines en la bahía.
Terminamos la mañana en Simons Town, que es una legendaria ciudad naval con vistas a False Bay. Tiene la opción de visitar la famosa colonia de pingüinos en Boulders Beach (la tarifa de entrada no está incluida en la tarifa) o pasar el tiempo paseando por la histórica calle principal de Simons Town y visitando sus pintorescas tiendas y museos. Tenemos algo para comer y beber (por cuenta propia) en Simons Town Mariner Wharf.
Después del almuerzo, nos dirigimos de regreso a Ciudad del Cabo y los Jardines Botánicos de Kirstenbosch recorriendo la ruta costera de False Bay. Pasamos por las ciudades costeras de Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay, St James y Muizenberg. Las calles están llenas de extravagantes librerías, tiendas de ropa vintage, tiendas de surf y una colección de populares restaurantes y delicatessen junto al mar. Nos detenemos en el camino para pasear por las calles, hacer algunas compras, observar a los surfistas en Muizenberg, observar ballenas si es temporada de ballenas y tomar fotografías de las famosas y coloridas cabañas de playa de la era Victoria.

We had a wonderful day on the Mo Afrika Full-Day Cape Peninsula Tour, and we were truly blessed to have Alfred as our guide. The tour was not what we expected. We didn’t do many of the stops that’s were planned on the itinerary which was a little bit disappointing. Our guide was okay although he seemed agitated and threatened to leave some of the clients if they were even a couple of minutes late to the meeting spots. Overall the tour was not what was advertised.
Amazing breathtaking tour, I was by myself with a very qualified and nice guide, Sentle, who drove and took me to the most beautiful places.
Great tour to get a quick taste of the beaches, peninsular and back into the city. Really not enough hours in the day to see and experience what this beautiful place has to share with us.
Abdoul was excellent. His knowledge about history was outstanding. Besides that, he is familiar with all local persons and locations. GREAT experiance !

A tremendous day with MoAfrika tours and my guide for the day, Sentle. Early start to beach then a wee cruise to Seal Island then to Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point, a delicious lunch at Saveur and the best part of the day for me at Boulder Beach penguins. Guide Sentle was accommodating, friendly and knowledgable and whilst a long day, it was superb. Highly recommend this tour to everyone, stunning scenery and wildlife.
