Our guide Pau was passionate about Barcelona and sports. He goes like the energizer bunny. This was a great way to explore the city and see the inside of his experiences. He picked a fantastic place for lunch with fresh seafood and paella. And, he seems to be a very avid history buff. He takes you back 3,000 years and brings you right to today with the politics and happening in the city. I would be remiss to not to point out that this was a walking tour in the hottest season on record. As a result, we did take a few cabs to get between places (which was very welcome with some air conditioning) and we still got over 15,000 steps. Be prepared for a physical challenge. Pau was a great host to the city of Barcelona.

Pao was great. He shared his knowledge about Barcelona with emphasis on sports, which is his passion. We took taxis to many of the venues to reduce the time between sites and allow more time at each site. Pao took us to a great local restaurant away from the tourist spots. This was fully customizable.

What a great way to experience Barcelona - truly the highlights ! The guide was fantastic, knowledgeable, astute, charming and full of stories. While it didn’t include entrance to any of the Gaudi sites - you could fully customize the experience with the exception being that many entrances require advance booking during the holidays - this was a ‘highly recommended’ experience!

We were greeted by our tour guide Claire via email well in advance of our trip to plan our tour. She selected sites she thought we'd be interested in seeing and confirmed her plans with us in advance. On the day of the tour she arrived early and was a joy to be around for a full day in Barcelona. She showed us sites of interest at an enjoyable pace and selected stops for a coffee break and lunch that were both excellent. If you have a chance for a day in Barcelona with Claire, our group of four gives her our highest recommendations.
Simone was a fatastic host, and planned the day completely around us, adapting it as we went along depending on our needs, and the changes in the weather! She was full of enthumsiasm for this fantastic city and we packed a huge amount into a day without at any point feeling rushed.
Karla was excellent! This was my first time in Barcelona and we managed to cover a lot in one day. She was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and made me feel welcomed. I will definitely recommend Karla and City Unscripted to whoever wants a personalized experience in Barcelona.
Love the idea of having your own private tour at a reasonable price with the flexibility to have input on the type of tour as well. Also, the food and drinks that were included in the price made this a good deal. However, our tour guide ended up not being originally from the area, had lived there for a couple years. She was really quiet, not very outgoing and the places she took us to were less than exciting. With the right guide I think this would have been a better experience, however, because of the guide we had I don't know if I would use this service again.
