En este divertido tour de 1 día, disfrutarás de la nueva herencia religiosa de Sapporo, junto con impresionantes vistas del centro y el gran parque central, ¡con degustación de sake para completarlo al final del día! Visitando el gigantesco Buda dormido de oro en el Templo Butsuganji, así como la Colina del Buda, una fusión de arte moderno y religión antigua, verá cómo la gente de Sapporo expresa su espiritualidad y creatividad juntos. Después del almuerzo, una visita al centro de Sapporo, un paseo por su emblemática Torre de TV y una degustación de sake en un pequeño bar local le presentarán el lado secular de esta ciudad del norte de Japón.

A su llegada a The Butsugan-ji (Buda Dormido/Acostado) será impactado visualmente por la estatua de Buda Nirvana de 45 metros de largo descansando/acostado horizontalmente en paz, en el techo de la Sala del Gran Templo Nirvana. Este increíble lugar ahora es considerado como uno de los puntos más fuertes de poder espiritual en todo Japón. Muchos visitantes acuden aquí de todo Japón y de todo el mundo. Además del Buda, los visitantes pueden ver el hermoso Jardín de la Tierra Pura de Jodo con un diseño japonés muy auténtico. Cerca, hay un estanque y una cascada con agua pura y limpia. Hay antiguas rocas de jardín puramente limpias dispersas por el jardín. La gente viene a este templo no solo por su hermoso ambiente sino también por su poderosa área espiritual.
Esta estatua de Buda de piedra esculpida está rodeada por una rotonda situada en una colina artificial de pendiente suave dentro del terreno perteneciente a un cementerio. Mide 13,5 metros y pesa 1500 toneladas. Cuando se acerca desde lejos, la cabeza solitaria del Buda que se asoma desde dentro de la rotonda transmite una impresión solemne y serena del Buda. La entrada al Buda tiene un jardín acuático que los visitantes normalmente caminan. Después de esto, se camina a través de un túnel de hormigón arqueado al final del cual se encuentra la estatua de Buda, en el centro de una rotonda abierta que permite la entrada de la luz solar. La apertura circular de la rotonda con luz fluyendo hacia adentro casi le da una sensación de “halo” a la estatua de Buda. Sin duda un sitio magnífico para contemplar! Una visita obligada en cualquier momento del año.
A continuación, regresaremos al centro de Sapporo y visitaremos The Sapporo T.V. Torre. Construido en 1957, mide 147,2 metros de altura. Esta torre fue diseñada y construida por Tachu Naito, un arquitecto japonés que también es famoso por planificar la Torre de Tokio. Nos dirigiremos a la plataforma de observación superior donde disfrutará de espectaculares vistas diurnas de 360 grados de toda la ciudad de Sapporo. Su guía será capaz de señalar varias direcciones aéreas desde la plataforma de observación e informar a los huéspedes en cuanto a qué lugar específico es.

Talk to your guide..! Japan is more then sightseeing and food .. it’s the people that will make your visit wonderful
Scott was awesome and was very knowledgeable about the area. If you ask, he will make the Itinerary extra fun too! Easily got to and from the Statue and into Sapporo proper!
If you are visiting Sapporo for a few days, I highly recommend this day trip. I met Scott at the determined meeting spot and he was there waiting when I arrived on time. It turns out I was the only traveler who had booked the tour that day, so we left immediately and took public transportation. It was super easy and we were able to chat on a personal level which made it feel like traveling with a new friend. Hill of the Buddha was the obvious highlight and he was super insightful and gave me pointers on the best photo angles. Having a tour guide there made for a more meaningful experience. From there we headed back to Sapporo and proceeded to do a walking tour of the city. I’m not sure how a regular tour would have been with a full group , but it showed me he was willing to cater the trip to circumstances and my desires and interests. Top notch!
Although I was the only person on this tour, my guide Scott worked just as hard at making sure I had a fabulous time. In addition to the original itinerary that he crafted, which was fabulous (Buddha statue, sake tasting, et cetera), Scott further escalated my experience that day by leveling it up with various destinations including the Nakajima Park, the Odori Park, Shiryokan, and JR Tower Observatory. He also helped me shop for omiyage and truly went over and beyond..
Scott was such a great tour guide. He was fun and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. Navigating to all of our stops was a breeze, and not only did Scott provide great insight into the Hill of the Buddha, but to life in Sapporo and Japan in general. Scott also doubled as a personal photographer, he even knew all the best angles to get photos and certainly didnt mind stopping every 10 feet so I could take a picture. The sake at the end of the tour was just the icing on the cake. Highly recommend!
We had a truly great day with Scott E. In our two-week trip to Japan this time, Scott is the only American born tour guide that we had, thus he was the easiest to understand. Besides Scott’s thorough knowledge of the sites we visited, we were able to share many laughs with him while reminiscing about the “good old days” in America. We were already a fan of the work of architect Tadao Ando, so seeing the Hill of the Buddha with Scott was a real treat. We would highly recommend Scott’s service to any visitors to Sapporo.
