El único recorrido de mármol de Carrara que te permite entrar en una cueva real. ¡Encantado de conocerlo! Somos conductores y líderes turísticos... ¡nos gustaría mostrarle una joya escondida de la Toscana! Te recogeré con mi furgoneta profesional en la zona de Lucca o Pisa y te llevaré hasta la montaña de Carrara. Llegaremos a la cueva y nos subiremos a un Jeep 4x4 que nos podrá llevar al interior. Un guía turístico profesional te explicará todo sobre la historia de este lugar legendario: no solo cómo trabajan y extraen el mármol, sino también cómo elaboran un vino especial o cómo reconocer un mármol de Carrara real de uno falso. Al final del recorrido, saldremos de la cueva y te llevaré al pequeño pueblo de Colonnata: un lugar muy pequeño y auténtico famoso por un tipo de salami muy sabroso... "lardo di colonnata". ¡Puedo llevarte a la mejor tienda de alimentos para comprar un trozo de manteca de cerdo o tratar de reservar un restaurante local para una degustación! Un recorrido fuera de lo común :)

Itinerario
Tendrá la posibilidad única de visitar una verdadera cueva de mármol de Carrara. Este es el único recorrido que te dará la oportunidad de adentrarte en una cueva donde, aún ahora, se está extrayendo mármol puro.
Visitaremos el pequeño pueblo de Colonnata: el lugar donde se hace el "lardo" (un tipo de salami muy sabroso). La terraza panorámica le hará disfrutar de una vista increíble de las cuevas de mármol de Carrara. Además, la 1 hora restante es para el tiempo de viaje 30 minutos conduciendo de ida y 30 minutos conduciendo de regreso

This was such an interesting tour. It was well run. Besides the marble cave tour, we had a good lunch (paid for separately) of lardo. I recommend this tour.
This was a very unique experience that our group of 7 really enjoyed. We had an amazing tour guide -Raffaele- who provided us with so much information. Our visit to Colonnata was extra special. It’s a sweet little town that we are glad we didn’t miss. A great way to spend a day in the Lucca area. Highly recommended!
What a great day. We saw the countryside, toured inside the Carrara mine and had a fun lunch. Our guide was amazing and went out of his way for us at every turn. He even brought my husband his cane which he had left in the car. We would recommend this tour to anyone interested in marble or just how the mining process works.
Our experience with Viator was excellent. From preliminary details, communicating on text, picking us up and taking us on the journey were all flawless. In addition to taking us to the marble tour, Marco took us to an amazing lunch at a very local restaurant with some of the top food in Italy so far!!

An excursion of a lifetime! Our new friend, Thomaso, our driver and guide, was informational and engaging! Everything from the start was seamless. The drive over seemed to take very little time because he engaged with all of the passengers on the tour. Once we arrived at Carrara, we took a 4 wheel drive into the cave. At that point Francesca , one of the members of the family who mine the marble, gave an amazing discussion of the process required to extract huge blocks of marble from the only internal mines in Carrara. After the tour we drove up to the city of Colonnada. We enjoyed a fun luncheon with lardo, meats, wine and bread. A fantastic day that we all highly recommend.

Our driver Marco was super! On time, friendly, very knowledgeable, spoke excellent English. We totally enjoyed the ride to Carrara Quarry. We stopped for a snack of Lardo in Colonatta that was really fun and interesting.

Fantastic trip and most enjoyable! The guide was very curteous and well informed and had great ideas on engaging us with the other tour members . It was a small party and the executive transporter certainly not a van as described!. The internal trip in the Carrara mine was part of a larger tour, but that all went seamlessly and was very informative - Overall a great experience and I would not hesitate to recommend this guide
