Jebel Samhan es considerado el pico más alto del sur de Omán, con una altura de 2100 metros. Es considerado un destino para todos por su maravillosa vista. Desde lo alto de Jebel Samhan se pueden ver las nubes. Además, cuando el tiempo está despejado, se puede ver la ciudad de Mirbat y el Mar Arábigo desde arriba.
El sumidero de Taiattir se considera uno de los más profundos de Omán, con una profundidad de 210 metros. Este agujero se formó con el tiempo y localmente se le llama Pozo de los Pájaros, donde vienen aves de todo el mundo para poner huevos.
La ciudad de Taqa es considerada uno de los mejores lugares para ver el atardecer, ya que tiene vistas al mar. Los turistas llegan a esta ciudad antes del atardecer para ver el atardecer desde allí.

El castillo de Taqah es un cautivador hito histórico ubicado en la ciudad costera de Taqah, cerca de Salalah en la gobernación de Dhofar de Omán. Construido en el siglo XIX : A diferencia de muchos fuertes omaníes más antiguos, el castillo de Taqah es relativamente joven, construido en el siglo XIX durante el reinado del sultán Taimur bin Faisal al Said (1913 - 1932). Originalmente sirvió como residencia privada del jeque Ali bin Taman Al Ma'shani, abuelo de la madre del sultán Qaboos. Más tarde, pasó a ser propiedad del gobierno y funcionó como centro administrativo y residencia para los gobernadores locales. El Ministerio de Patrimonio y Turismo emprendió amplios esfuerzos de restauración, y el castillo fue reabierto como museo en 1994, conservando su diseño original y mostrando la historia de Omán. I had a great full-day private tour of East Salalah. The itinerary was well-planned, the sights were beautiful, and my guide was knowledgeable and friendly. It was a smooth, enjoyable experience that I'd highly recommend.

Pleasant day out seeing the highlights of East Salalah with Mohammed.It was good to be able to see the countryside of Salalah particularly the long coastline of beaches and the camels crossing the road. Mohammed was kind and gentle and tried to help us to find the fish restaurant which we wanted to go to but unfortunately it had closed down.
Thank you for Mr. Muhammed has been a very good guide and accompanying us during the trip. All spots is really beautiful, Wadi Darbat is the highlight, all eastern part of Salalah is covered including Jebel Shamhan, Taqah View Point and Sinkhole, eventhough it's cloudy but it's still beautiful.
Today we had the great pleasure of traveling with Mohammed on an East Salalah tour that we booked through Tripadvisor. Everything was perfectly organized from the beginning. Mohammed is not only an extremely safe and pleasant driver, but also an incredibly warm and knowledgeable guide. On our route we saw some of the most beautiful places in the region: the impressive Jabal Samhan with its breathtaking views, the fascinating Teeq Cave and the spectacular Tawi Ateer Sinkhole. In Taqah we visited the charming Taqah Castle and enjoyed the dreamlike scenery in Wadi Darbat. Along the way, we even saw camels up close – a real highlight! What made this tour special for us was Mohammed’s deep knowledge of Omani culture and history, which he shared with us with a lot of passion and humor. We learned so much and felt welcome and comfortable at all times. Thank you, Mohammed, for this unforgettable day! This tour is an absolute must for anyone visiting Salalah.

Wow what an experience. Mohammad was always on time (even early) and so responsive to all my inquiries before the tour. He was very accommodating since I was pregnant and went out of his way to help us along the way. He knows so much about Oman and the culture and really helped us immerse in the beautiful country. He even got us water and homemade Omani sweets! 10/10 would recommend booking a tour (and airport transfer) with this company.
