The tour was a nice way to see San Francisco. I was a bit disappointed that there was such a large gap in my day between Alcatraz and the rest of the tour. Instead of lunch on my own, I was hoping for lunch in Sausalito as the booking stated. It was a bit misleading to be honest.
It was a great mix of local history, nature and fun facts. Our tour guide, Dylan did a great job…very knowledgeable and helpful. The San Francisco tour was a little shorter than expected but took in a few well known spots. Muir Woods was beautiful and enough van be seen in the hour and a half allowed. We added the Alcatraz Tour to our trip and the tickets were waiting for us at “will call” and we had time to grab something to eat before getting on the ferry. It was a good tour!

We had a great time. This was so fun and informative. Perfect way to see the area and the hike was doable for all.
The trip to Muir Woods is very, very winding and if you have motion sickness, take a Dramamine. Jake was very informative and an excellent driver, but the roads are difficult for someone who gets motion sick. The tour was amazing and you are in a magical world of redwood trees. We were transfixed by the incredible wonder of it all!

Wear comfortable walking shoes. It was a great day getting to see the key sites in SF. Muir Woods was a huge highlight.
The tour was informative about city landmarks/ history. It was not made clear in the tour description that if you add Alcatraz, you do not go to Sausalito. That was very disappointing. Muir Woods was incredible! The walk through is serene and relaxing! Alcatraz is definitely something to see. I had visited it 40 years ago. It has deteriorated so much. Hard to believe that with the number of tours that go there preservation of it is severely lacking. It should be called bird island with all of the bird species nesting there.
Thanks for booking with Viator. We’re sorry for any confusion around the Sausalito portion of the tour. When Alcatraz is added, the schedule becomes much tighter because Alcatraz has a fixed ferry time and guests must arrive at Pier 33 early for check-in. Because of that timing, Sausalito is a drive-by portion of the tour rather than a full stop. We’re happy you enjoyed Muir Woods and Alcatraz.
