Nobody showed up.

We arrived 20 minutes earlier at the provided meeting place. We waited for half an hour. Nobody showed up. We called the number provided, but an automated message said no one was available.

Dear Dr. Sibylle, I am writing to sincerely apologize for missing your scheduled tour on [date/time]. There is no excuse for this failure on our part, and I want you to know that we take full responsibility for letting you down. I can only imagine how frustrating and disappointing this must have been for you. You took the time to schedule this tour with us, and we failed to meet that commitment. That's not the level of service we strive to provide, and I'm genuinely sorry for wasting your time and breaking your trust. To make this right, we would like to offer you a complete refund of the tour. Moving forward, we'd like to give you the opportunity to experience the tour as originally planned. If you're interested in rescheduling, we would be happy to work around your availability at no additional cost. Alternatively, if you prefer to simply receive the refund without rescheduling, we completely understand and respect that decision. Please let me know how you'd like to proceed, and if there's anything else we can do to restore your confidence in us. Again, I sincerely apologize for this experience. We value your business and hope for the opportunity to serve you better in the future. Warm regards, Carolyn

Thank you for the kind words and the high recommendation! We're so glad Jonathan delivered the goods on our Half-Day Civil Rights Walking Tour in Harlem with Lunch — he brings real depth and a genuine love for this history to every group, and it shows. We'll be sure to pass your note along to him. Harlem has a central place in the Civil Rights story, and we believe everyone should get to walk these blocks and feel it firsthand. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience — we'd love to welcome you back for another tour anytime. Carolyn

Definitely Worth Your While

My husband and I went on the Civil Rights Walking Tour with Doris. She is a treasure, and so knowledgeable about not only Harlem (as a native) but also all of New York and its history. We were eager to learn more about such a neighborhood that is so significant to American history and culture. We really enjoyed it and can't wait to come back to the neighborhood to spend more time. Thank you Doris!
