We had a good time exploring Antigua and Iximché ruins. Going early on Saturday morning meant less time spent in traffic to Antigua. We felt safe with Gustavo driving up/down and around all of the mountain roads.
We had an amazing time learning about Guatemala's history with Davis. He was very knowledgeable, attentive to our needs, and willing to make minor changes to the sequence of events based on our request. The entire experience was excellent, thanks to Davis!
Very nice excursion Very professional guide and drivers Antigua is a colonial city and the ruins are a Mayan site
Jorge is an incredible tour guide with so much experience, energy and passion to share with tourists. He knows so much and translates between English and Spanish effortlessly.
Antigua is a must see, highly recommend a guided tour if you have limited time! Iximché was a perfect addition to fill out the day.
Perfect day to spend with family seeing the ancient history and more modern history combined into one tour. Great and very informative tour guide.
Great place that is recommended to visit during a visit to Antigua, and although it is not as big as Tikal if you like the archaeological areas are ruins to be known. Very close departing from Antigua and the rest of places we visited in Antigua were not included in another Antigua-only tour. The guide very friendly and attentive sharing the explanations of each place visited at all times both in Antigua and in the ruins.
We had a great time, our tour guide Jorge did a great job telling us about the history of the ruins and the city of Antigua! He recommended a great place for lunch and everything run on time! Absolutely recommend it!
I thought there would be other travelers on the tour, but it ended up to be a private tour which was great. We enjoyed spending the day with our guide, Gustavo. He was knowledgeable, entertaining and demonstrated professionalism throughout our trip. We loved learning the history and hearing his stories. We appreciate that he attended to our needs, waited for us while we shopped, and took us to interesting restaurants. We love the group selfies he took!
What was supposed to be a small group tour became a private tour (my husband and I were the only passengers). Our guide, Davis, is very knowledgeable. We are seniors and he made sure to always walk at our pace, never trying to hurry us up. He explained, in great detail, the objects in the iximche museum and pointed out the birds, plants and other animals as we were walking through the ruins. In Antigua, it was nice walking the cobblestone streets while Davis pointed out the landmarks and narrated their history. Antigua is a beautiful place surrounded by volcanos and we witnessed Volcan de Fuego errupting and spewing black smoke. It was a very enjoyable tour. Iximche and Antigua are must sees if you are in Guatemala.
