Such a lovely day in the Atlas Mountains. So pretty and lunch with the Berber family was a great experience. Highly recommend
A highlight of our Marrakesh visit!! Ismail was a such a fun, informative guide and appreciate all the wonderful sights and photos . We also loved walking through the town and a wonderful meal by Khadijah and family. I look back at this day very fondly. Highly recommend and do bring stickers or fun items for all the kids you’ll meet.
Ishmail was a fantastic guide for our day trip to the Atlas Mountains. He’s a wealth of knowledge and his love of the area really shines through. The traditional Berber lunch prepared by a local family was such a special touch. Bring along some candy and stickers for the children you will meet along the way. This is a very special experience.
Great experience guided and curated by Ismael. Three highlights for the excursion: 1. Berbers are some of the most hospitable people I have ever met 2. Food was delicious, authentic, served in a serene atmosphere. 3 Ismael, our tour guide, a walking Wikipedia, a stand up comedian and a man with a big heart. Highly recommended
Impressive activity. I left the tour with 3 highlights: 1. The Berber people we met are some of the kindest and most hospitable people I met in my life. Their warmth, pride for the heritage and the land, sense of community is unmatchable 2. The food - cooked to perfection, served with grace. 3. Ismail, the tour guide who was a comedian, a walking Wikipedia and a top ambassador for morocco at the same time. Highly recommended.
We had a fantastic trip through the mountains. Punctual, all inclusive, small group, no mass tourism, super food. Guide Ismael was fantastic. He was a walking Wikipedia and very, very helpful. The walk was doable even in the extreme heat of July. The hike is with another guide (you choose on site who wants to join the challenging hike and who wants the simple one). The group was very nice. Be sure to bring sweets, footballs,... for the children or buy them on the way in a local store. They're so grateful. All people you meet along the way are open to conversation and are easily approachable. We learned a lot about the earthquake a few years ago.
What an amazing day. You may see this trip cheaper but I can guarantee you will not experience a trip like this. Ismail was incredible, what knowledge! Everyone we met from the breakfast at the cooperative, the family by the river, the family at the start of the hike, the family that cooked us lunch, the guides for our walk, every single person I encountered today was friendly, genuine and welcoming. We were lucky to also spend the day with four travellers from Canada and Belgium. Please take colouring books, pencils, sweets, balls or gifts for the children. The joy on their faces was something I will never forgot. As will be the whole day. And the scenery and every sight you see, just wonderful! Thank you everyone 🫶🏼
If you have any skepticism over the reviews of this trip and you find yourself reading this, please continue. This trip is JUST fantastic and made our week in Morocco. Our guide Ismail was simply amazing. Full of knowledge about his country, the Berbers and all sorts of great facts! The tour started with breakfast at the women's cooperation. We were there before any other tour, and the experience felt relaxed, genuinely and so welcoming. The rest of the day we didn't see another tour group. I cannot begin to explain the lunch at the home stay, the people that we met along the way, the walk with 2 Berber guides (an easy stroll or harder path can be decided at the time and is accessible to all), the sights, views and genuine delight of the people that we met. If you find this trip for cheaper, there's a reason. You will not get the authentic, 'off the beaten track', genuine experience of the Berber people. We had read on previous reviews that the children were so grateful for small lollies and sweets. Seeing their faces light up was just lovely. If you can, they absolutely love drawing, colouring and playing with a football and we wish we had taken a few more bits. Please don't miss out on this wonderful experience; it is a day to be remembered.
This was the best tour. Ismail is a fantastic guide! Thanks to Fatiha and Fathima for the delicious lunch at their beautiful home.
We had a fantastic, fun day. Ismael was warm, hilarious and incredibly knowledgeable. Ended up learning a lot about Morocco and the world. The lunch prepared by Fatiha and Fatima was delicious - homecooked tagines with amazing fresh veggies. Highly recommend this trip - you'll see all 5 valleys and much more!
