Driver was excellent and very informative. His part of the experience was definitely 5 stars. The winery we went to for lunch that was not included was expensive and for the price very little food and wine. We should have asked to go to a more local Spot.

GC took me and my husband out for a day of sightseeing and, wow, we saw sights. The Siena Cathedral is amazingly ornate and the main square where the horse race takes place is fascinating. Then we visited Casa Emma, a beautiful winery where we started with a tour then had a tasting and lunch overlooking the vineyards and olive groves. Our hostess was charming and fun and explained the differences in the wines very clearly and passionately. We started with ravioli, then had roast pork and potatoes, and finished with ice cream drizzled with 100 year old balsamic. It was all delicious. After buying some items for shipping, we moved on to Montefili, another beautiful destination where we tasted on the patio with another expert young lady who was proud to share the story of the vineyard and its wines. GC’s van was large and immaculate. He was friendly and called out points of interest, but was not overly chatty. Just right. He knows these twisty roads like the back of his hand and squeezed around corners and through lanes that we would never try. He took us by a lovely monestery and the town of Greve in Chianti. So we felt we got a good overview of Tuscany in one day and would love to return.

We had an amazing time on the trip. Michele, our driver, knew the exact places to take us including a wonderful winery in Chianti to have lunch. He also spent a lot of time explaining about the cities and what we would see. We just wish we had more time to spend in each of the cities as it is quick when you have multiple stops in one day. Definitely need to go back and try to spend a day in each city if we can.

This excursion was the highlight of our city break in Florence. Our driver Massimo who was also our guide & photographer was great ! He was very calm, funny, and his driving style was very safe. We enjoyed his company and all the information that he gave us. We really liked that he told us interesting things about the places we.ve been, and also he was kind to take us many photos. The best part is that he was a photographer so you can imagine that we have some awesome photos from that beautiful day. I recommend the Chianti Drivers because they are really pro! We also had Massimo for the transfer from and to airport, so was really great. Next time we will visit Florence, for sure I will contact him again & already all my friends know about the profesional services of the Chianti Drivers. For sure you will not regret this choice !

Thank you so much for providing such a highly qualified tour guide in Alex. We were all captivated by the beauty of Tuscany and Alex educated us about the areas and the wine process. We were all so thankful for Alex's knowledge and excellent attention to detail. Alex went above and beyond for all of us and never missed a beat in describing all details in our travel spots. We also enjoyed how he navigated the streets of Siena and always provided door to door service picking us up in his Mercedes Air Conditioned Van. I highly recommend this tour of Siena, Tuscany, the various, short stops in Chianti and the wine and meal at Casanova Winery. For all looking to book, the Casanova Winery Wine and balsamic vinegar tour and sit down meal were an extra cost but you will leave full from an organic 3 course meal, happy with a decent amount of wine and loving the views and time spent with your family and friends. I highly recommend this tour and especially appreciate the professionalism of Alex. You will be reminiscing and telling stories for years about your trip to Siena and Chianti!

<p>We took this tour about 2 weeks ago and it was our favorite day of our whole trip to Italy. Our driver Alex was amazing, he gave us a lot of information about wine production in Chianti and brought us to small villages we would never have discovered on our own. His recommendation for lunch at a farmhouse was perfect for us, the food was great and we had a great time. He also picked out several villages for us to visit after lunch and they could not have been more perfectly picked out for us. All in all this was a perfect day we loved it!</p>

Chianti Drivers is a top notch company. From the first correspondence, until we were dropped off at the end of the tour, I could not ask for a more professional company to work with. Our driver, Alex was so friendly and knowledgeable it was such a pleasure to spend the day with him. He picked us up in a luxury Mercedes van and we were off to the beautiful Tuscany countryside. Alex pointed things out along the way and answered any questions we had. We explained that we wanted to visit wineries and see little "off the beaten path" towns. He fulfilled these requests perfectly! We visited Greve and Sienna and several other towns along the way. The highlight of our day is when he took us to a little family run winery, Altiero Winery. What a view!! The owner took us on a little tour of his winery explained how his wine and olive oils are made. Then it was up to his deck where his wife had a beautiful spread of cheeses, sausage, homemade jams, and of course wine and olive oil ready for our tasting. It was so nice we spent 2 hours enjoying the views of the hills and sipping wine. At the end of the day we asked Alex to drop us off at Piazzale Michelangelo, so we could enjoy the view of the sun setting over Florence. Alex was the best guide we had throughout our entire Italy vacation. Thank you Chianti Drivers and Alex for making our time in Tuscany truly memorable.
