Itinerario

This was a fantastic tour from our cruise ship. Clean van, excellent driving, and lots to see and explore.
The drive is very windy and if you can get car sick. There are fast, bumpy and windy roads. The description of the excursion states that you can stay at some stops longer than others and it is your choice, but we weee only given one hour at each stop. We decided that we would skip Pastino because we were unable to do anything in Sorento because of the short time. It took forever! We asked to skip Pastino and then we had to pay an extra 8 euros for parking because the tour only included one hour of parking. The tour guide hardly spoke to us at all and spent most of the time complaining about how she hated her job and the company. We had a driver and guide, but we really did not need the guide because she did nothing but tell us what time to be back and took us to a Rocky beach. I heard a boat trip that stopped was much better.
What a fabulous experience. Took my wife on a Private tour of the Amalfi Coast. Our driver Maricio was the BEST!!! This was my wife's first time to this beautiful area and she Absolutely loved it.
Rosario was excellent and knew what we wanted. Positano first, a phenomenal place even if you've been there before. We chose Amalfi to end but in between we went to a delicious lunch with a gorgeous view of the sea. Highly recommend.
The weather wasn't great, but the scenery and the driver were magnificent. Had a great day and enjoyed it +++
Beautiful excursion. We loved being able to customize time for us. Driver was kind and helpful. Great experience. Really the most beautiful place we have ever visited.
Our group of six rode comfortably in an 8 passenger van with a very skilled driver, Rosario and friendly guide Diana. Our time was limited in port so we opted for this private tour so we could see the most in a period of six hours. Fortunately we had great November weather and traffic was light on Sunday. Because of the time restrictions we imposed on the driver and guide the tour was basically a photo op on the Amalfi coast. There are a few flowers in bloom at this time of year but most of the blooming is dormant at this point in the season. We spent about 45 minutes in Sorrento walking around and shopping on our own. Arrangements for lunch were made by the tour guide at a beautiful restaurant overlooking the water called Calajanarra Restaurant. ( definitely a highlight). The Amalfi Cathedral visit was an option for those who wanted to make the steep trek up the steps. We should have made enough time to visit the Duomo in Salerno where the crypt of Saint Matthew resides but some of the group were anxious to get back to the ship. ( We had taken a bus tour to Sorrento three weeks earlier and the traffic was horrible) Salerno has significant history for Americans during World War II. We had asked about it but never got much of a response. It would’ve been nice to have communicated with the actual tour guide prior to the tour in order to let her know the time limitations. She had a plan but had to readjust with the time constraints. I would recommend a private tour when You have a limited amount of time but do your homework and communicate ahead of time what it is you want to see and do. Also remember that some of the restaurants and shops are beginning to close for the winter season but the views are always magnificent!
We stayed in the most adorable AirBNB in Salerno and got the ferry tickets the day prior for a trip to Amalfi. Beautiful morning ride and the dock is very walkable from anywhere in town. If you do Amalfi, be sure to grab the hop on/hop off Red bus up the hill to Ravello. The views are specaluar. We then hopped another ferry to Positano. Nice town but very touristy. Didn't stay more than a couple of hours. Ferry ride back to Salerno was at sunset and while windy, it was gorgeous! About an hour ride.
Prompt reply by email regarding various questions that I had about booking the tour. Overall we paid 600 Euros for a party of 6 adults and 1 child for a private tour. Our driver was professional and met us on time at the port where our cruise ship docked. First we headed off to Salerno then Positano and then Pompeii where we had a private tour guide. Our driver was mainly just that, our driver but he made sure that we felt safe. He drove us to our desired destinations and allowed us some free time to explore and take photos. He stayed at the car to make sure our bags were safe and met us at the agreed upon time. As we were travelling with our 13 month old son, we wanted a private tour so that if we needed to pull over and change him (luckily we didn't!), we could. Overall we were happy with this service. We were picked up at 8am and returned to our cruise ship at 4pm on time. I would recommend this tour if you want to avoid the bigger 50+ people tours and travelling with people that need special considerations (like children/0.

Our driver had a lot of knowledge about each area we went to. He also exhibited a lot of pride in his job and country. We felt we had another member traveling with us.
