Comience en el encantador barrio de San Sebastián, la frontera colonial occidental de Cuenca, donde paseará por una pintoresca plaza, admirará la arquitectura colonial y explorará el Museo de Arte Moderno con sus exposiciones locales.
Camine por la calle Bolívar para descubrir la transición republicana de influencia francesa de la ciudad, reflejada en su elegante arquitectura, y visite el mercado 10 de agosto, sumérjase en la vibrante cultura mientras aprende sobre las frutas, productos y tradiciones locales.
Continúe hacia la emblemática Plaza de San Francisco, el Mercado de las Flores y el histórico Parque Calderón, donde se encuentra la impresionante Catedral Vieja y la Catedral Nueva, una de las iglesias más grandes de América Latina, con un impresionante altar de pan de oro.

What a great way to spend the day! Wilson , our guide took us to facinating places including a place where they make the famous Panama hat ( it’s actually a Ecuador hat!) . We Saw Cuenca from high above and visited beautiful villages in the mountains then walked around Cuenca’s historic center and visited a few of Cuenca’s 52 churches. Wilson was an excellent guide and spoke perfect English. It felt like a freind showing us his city. He took us to a place that he knew about and had encebollado , a delicious Ecuador soup for lunch and he gave us a great recommendation for a dinner restaurant.
