It is important to have someone to guide us and explain some of the most important information about the fantastic epoleum of the Vatican Museums
Great guide an explanations. Really thourough and wuality service. Very interesting facts and tips about the Vatican.
Myself and 15 others were left behind , despite having arrived at the meeting point prior to the event starting. Did not receive any messages from the host until he told us it was too late, no instruction to meet in the line, or any communication. We ended up just going into the museum on our own… cost €7… and the host is trying to deny our refund. SCAM
Be sure to check the fine print and know that even though you are on a tour, this particular tour does not on NOT skip the line but also does NOT line up in a separate tour line. You get in the very back of the line with everyone else. So, it took 2 hours of lining up in which the guide did an excellent job showing us pictures of the Sistine chapel and talking about Michelangelo, Botticelli and others. She was quietly spoken though so some of us could not hear her at times depending on how the line moved. Weather was perfect thank goodness. When we eventually got in we got headsets and she literally walked us right through all the museum halls without stopping talking all the way. It was so sad! We gave headsets back then went in the Sistine chapel on our own thank goodness! That was of course incredible. We were then able to casually review the last 2 rooms of the museum for an hour before they closed. Ironically it was " free admission day" so we needn't have paid at all!
We loved visiting the Vatican thanks to our passionate and very kind guide. The explanations started in the queue, we learned so much from him!
We were not able to avail of the activity as mentioned in viator. The group tour didn’t happen. We had to fall in line to get to the museum ourselves. We found out from the people in line that every fourth Sunday of the month is free. Basically we paid 15,000 pesos (almost $300) for nothing. It turned out to be a scam.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about your disappointment and understand how frustrating it must have been to miss your tour. Our team was present at the designated meeting point at the scheduled time, and the tour departed as planned. Our records show that you arrived later and at a different location. Our staff did their best to locate you, but by the time they were able to reach you, the group had already entered the Vatican Museums, and it was unfortunately no longer possible to join the tour. Regarding your concern about pricing, we would like to clarify that this tour takes place on the last Sunday of the month, when entry to the Vatican Museums is free. This is clearly stated in the product description. The fee covers the professional services of a licensed guide who provides expert commentary and coordination throughout the visit. The free museum entry applies only to general admission and does not include a guided tour. We truly regret that you were unable to join the tour and appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue improving our communication and service for all future travelers.
The guide slammed us through the museum so she could get us to the Sistine chapel and officially end her tour with us because she had to meet with another group she booked just 3.5 hours after our tour start time. Our tour meet up time was 8:30. Her next tour was at noon. The actual time she spent talking to us about items in the Vatican museum was 45 minutes. Just 45 minutes! The rest of the time was spent in line where she wouldn’t talk to us about anything because “it wasn’t fair because the others couldn’t hear her”. She should have brought head sets knowing this. Lots of other tour groups were doing this. During the 45 minutes in the museum, she spent 10 minutes talking about the Vatican garden and “to look at all the beautiful trees and there is every kind of tree here.” Pointless info when all that history was sitting inside.
Beautiful visit with our guide Luidwig. He gave us a lot of explanations in the long wait to get back to the Vatican Museum. Very nice and very professional. The Sistine Chapel is just beautiful
Tour starts when you get into the Vatican but they don’t share that the wait to get in can be about 2 hours so it threw off my day. Guide was hard to hear and it moved too fast to really see anything. I would recommend going without a tour if possible because it’s easy to do.
Guide did a fantastic job. Made sure that everyone stayed together and had everything that they needed. Very kind, patient, and courteous.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback, Logan! We are thrilled to hear that you had such a great experience and that your guide did a fantastic job. We're especially proud of our team's kindness, patience, and courtesy, and it means a lot to us that you highlighted these qualities. Your review is a great encouragement for all of us. We hope to welcome you on another tour soon! Sincerely,
