El Puente de la Reina Emma, también conocido como "Puente oscilante", es un puente peatonal histórico en Willemstad, Curazao. Conecta los distritos de Punda y Otrobanda a través de la bahía de Santa Ana. Construido en 1888, se abre para permitir el paso de barcos, ofreciendo vistas panorámicas y un hito cultural clave.
Fort Amsterdam es un fuerte histórico ubicado en Willemstad, Curazao, construido por los holandeses en 1635. Sirvió como bastión militar y más tarde se convirtió en la sede del gobierno. La plaza se encuentra en el paseo marítimo y ofrece impresionantes vistas del puerto de Willemstad y del emblemático puente de la Reina Emma. Brionplein cuenta con la bandera nacional de Curazao.
Pasa junto a la sinagoga más antigua en uso continuo del hemisferio occidental y el museo vivo adyacente. Conduce por la calle con varias casas señoriales del siglo XIX, la mayoría de ellas propiedad de comerciantes judíos locales. Seguido de un paseo por el impresionante cementerio judío Beth Chaim.

Helvig's tour was a top tour! Her SUV is very clean and comfortable (even has the new car smell!). She is so kind and loves to share information & history about her country. She is a good driver and is flexible to take you where you would like to go! We really appreciated being able to make requests. She is professional and a wonderful guide! We highly recommed her if you'd like a quiet tour without a crowd!

This one-to-one tour with Helvig on Curacao was the perfect way to see the entire island in just a couple of hours. She had a brand new, clean SUV with air and was a wonderful driver. She tailored the tour to my interests so we saw all sides of the island. We did stop at several beaches though taking in the sun wasn't on my agenda, taking in the gorgeous scenery was! She is deeply knowledgeable as someone born and raised on the island, and college educated abroad. She was able to provide an overview of the island its people, culture, history, economics, lifestyle and industry. I highly recommend both Helvig and this create your own 2-3 hour island tour. If you've never been to Curacao this is a great way to see the island and learn about it in a short visit. I left feeling I'd really seen Curacao. You can customize this tour to include a downtown walking tour as well. Helvig was delightful, professional and knowledgeable.

Helvig is the most knowledgeable tour guide we’ve ever experienced. As a native of Curaçao, she is personable and incredibly knowledgeable about the island, its people and their culture. This was the first private tour we’ve ever taken. The tour was reasonably priced. Her vehicle was comfortable and well-maintained. Helvig tailored the tour to our interests and made sure we saw the highlights of her island.

We booked a private 4-hour tour for my husband & I in Willemstad, Curacao. It was our first time here & we used AI to assist us in planning stops with a focus on photography, architecture and history. Thankfully we got Helvig van de Laarschot as our tour guide whose family has lived in Willenstadt for generations. She was more than happy to accommodate our requests for things we wanted to see. She was well versed in the history and all the private & charming alleyways. She was very personable and there was no question she could not answer. Her SUV was brand new & spotless. We were on a combination walking and driving tour and she certainly exceeded our expectations. The bonus is that she speaks fluent English, Dutch, Spanish, & French. We would hire her again in a heartbeat if and when we return to Willenstad!

Our private tour with Helvig was a most enjoyable and informative 3 hours. Our ship docked at 12:30 for a tour scheduled at 1:30. As we prepared to disembark, the heavens opened up. I contacted her because there was no feasible way for us to reach her in the rain. She was more than accommodating allowing us to wait a little while until the rain let up. It's obvious she love her country. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that loves that special touch
