El Taj Mahal 'Corona del Palacio' es un mausoleo de mármol blanco marfil en la margen derecha del río Yamuna en la ciudad india de Agra. Fue encargado en 1632 por el emperador mogol Shah Jahan (r. 1628-1658) para albergar la tumba de su esposa favorita, Mumtaz Mahal; también alberga la tumba del propio Shah Jahan. La tumba es la pieza central de un complejo de 17 hectáreas (42 acres), que incluye una mezquita y una casa de huéspedes, y está ubicada en jardines formales delimitados en tres lados por un muro almenado.
El Fuerte de Agra es un fuerte histórico en la ciudad de Agra en India. Fue la residencia principal de los emperadores de la dinastía Mughal hasta 1638, cuando la capital se trasladó de Agra a Delhi. También era conocido como “Lal-Qila”, “Fort Rouge” o “Qila-i-Akbari”.
