Excursión a las gargantas del Etna y Alcántara: senderismo, cueva de lava y río
Descripción
Este tour combina una caminata guiada por el Monte Etna hasta una altitud de aproximadamente 2.000 metros, una visita a una cueva de lava (casco y linterna proporcionados) y acceso a las Gargantas de Alcantara en un solo día. Durante la excursión al Etna se sigue un recorrido fácil/moderado de unos 3 km entre cráteres laterales y flujos de lava recientes. El guía ambiental certificado brinda explicaciones sobre la geología, la flora y la actividad eruptiva del volcán. En las Gargantas de Alcántara habrá tiempo libre para caminar dentro del cañón de basalto y a lo largo del río. Entrada incluida. El tour se realiza en grupos pequeños (máximo 8 personas) con transporte en miniván con aire acondicionado y equipo incluido.

Senderismo guiado por el lado norte del Etna a través de paisajes volcánicos únicos, que incluyen antiguos flujos de lava, cráteres laterales y bosques de abedules. El guía explicará la historia eruptiva del volcán, su actividad actual y las características geológicas que lo convierten en el volcán activo más alto de Europa. La ruta es sencilla y apta para todos, con paradas panorámicas para fotografías y explicaciones sobre la naturaleza. Desde lo alto de los cráteres Sartorius la vista se extiende hasta el mar Mediterráneo.
Visita guiada a una cueva de lava formada durante una erupción del Monte Etna. Equipados con cascos y linternas, los viajeros se adentrarán en un túnel volcánico para descubrir cómo se forman los flujos de lava y cómo se crean las cavidades subterráneas. El guía ilustrará los procesos geológicos que dieron forma a la cueva y relatará episodios relacionados con las erupciones históricas del volcán, haciendo la experiencia atractiva y segura.
Visita a las Gargantas de Alcántara con acceso a través de las escaleras municipales. Una vez que llegan a la orilla del río, los huéspedes pueden quitarse los zapatos y adentrarse en el cañón para caminar entre las espectaculares paredes de basalto moldeadas por el agua. El guía explicará el origen volcánico de las gargantas y la formación de las características columnas de basalto, dejando tiempo para explorar, tomar fotografías o refrescarse en el río.

We spent a wonderful day on Mount Etna and everything went perfectly. The pick-up and drop-off service directly in the van was a unique convenience, allowing us to enjoy the experience without any worries. Special praise to our two guides, Vito and Giampiero/Gianpaolo: very good, prepared and able to transmit all their passion for the territory. The itinerary was very rich: we climbed up to 2,000 meters above sea level, we explored a fascinating lava flow cave and, to top it off, we visited the beautiful Alcantara Gorges. Highly recommended excursion to anyone who wants to experience the magic of Etna in total relaxation and safety!

A fantastic trip with Vito to see the Alcantara Gorge followed by Mt Etna’s lava fields and cave. Vito was really friendly and very knowledgeable about the history and geology of the volcano. Pickup and drop off at the cruise port in Messina was very efficient

The trip was amazing, I and my girlfriend saw the hot lava and our dream came true. We definitely recomended. I must express a big gratitude to our guide Vito. Some tips: Take the your own snack (it is not provided by agency) and choose clothes you don't mind getting dirty.

We truly loved this tour ! Firstly, “Sicily Active” came up in my search on Mt. Etna tours among the world wide tour companies. Being local, I thought we would give them a try, and I’m sure glad we did. The price was reasonable for a full day tour.
