Estambul: visita guiada al palacio de Topkapi y sin colas

Ifsan was excellent. Very informative and clear. This is not a full guided tour of the palace bit includes the skip the line entry. Ifsan set the scene and explained the history and palace layout. Then you pay separately to enter the Harem and then see ther est of the palace.

This was a great tour, but felt a little rushed for us. Engin, our guide was good, extremely knowledgeable and answered any questions we had, but due to a slight technical hitch with some of the audio guides, and to be honest, the sheer number of people entering the palace grounds at the same time, the tour started late and so we ended up, we felt, rushing through to cover as many parts of the palace as we could in the shortened time. We enjoyed exploring the other parts of the palace on our own after the tour, but it would have been nice to have had a guide to help us to understand the history of what we were seeing.

Horrible experience with E pass, desorganized, the guide got us in and said wait for him so the others would get in and left us behind , without us. We could not hear him and he did not even noticed that we weren’t anymore with the other 12 people, he could count and noticed that there were 2 missing. I will never buy it not knowing what company is and without reading reviews. Lost of money

Very informative young man who gave us a great general talk about the palace, its history and people and then left us to explore. The instructions for meeting were great though there was such a crowd there it took a little while to find him. Our guide helped enormously understand the complicated history of the many superb buildings and the beautiful gardens.

Good organization, good guide, good initial explanation. The guide puts everyone together, shepherds them into the palace and gives a general explanation. Then each person visits on their own

Do not rate this tour at all - the guide spent a long time trying to upsell the harem tour, then further organising payment from the people who wanted to go - bad luck for those of us who weren’t interested, just wasted time! The guide basically took us into each courtyard and described what could be seen in each pavilion before moving onto the next courtyard. Don’t waste your time and money, just see it for yourself

My experience did not start in the best way as I had few information about the meeting and I miss it ( search the white & orange flag ). Fortunately I could join the following tour. The guide Augusto has been very kind and quick in understanding my situation and this helped a lot with my anxiety of the moment. Augusto lead a group of about 12 persons in this incredibile never ending palace explaining the geography of the plant, the history, the cultural context. He stop the tour, when necessary, to explain the main aspects of palace and telling us stories about the most important personages those built the history of this amazing place. At the end he also helped me in accessing the Harem area wich was not included in the tour. Be prepared for a long long walk. Thanks Augusto for transforming an initial disaster in to a five stars tour.

We were supposed to meet the guide and he will issue tickets to take us inside the palace. At the palace entrance and in the 1st courtyard he started to onboard more tourists. Eventually it took close to 90 minutes to go past the ticket barrier and into 2nd courtyard. The Audio headset was not working for 2 of us (we were a family of four). Overall it was a very disappointed experience. I intend to ask for a partial refund due to the poor service.

The skip the line part was fine but our guide, Chennai (sp?) was mediocre. She just didn’t have much information to share. We paid extra for a harem “tour” but she completely disappeared after getting us inside. My suggestion: do the tour, hope to get a different guide, and if it’s her don’t pay extra for a non-tour of the harem. We saw other small (single family) groups with harem tour guides and listened to them instead.
