Visite la Mezquita Azul, también conocida como Mezquita del Sultán Ahmed, y observe los azulejos azules del interior que dieron a la mezquita su nombre actual. La impresionante arquitectura de la mezquita se puede apreciar mejor desde el cercano Hipódromo, que fue un antiguo estadio durante la época bizantina. Dedique un tiempo a comprar recuerdos memorables en el Gran Bazar, uno de los mercados cubiertos más grandes del mundo y conocido por sus joyas y cerámica, antes de descansar y recargar energías con un almuerzo en un auténtico restaurante turco. El resto del día lo pasarás explorando sitios famosos que se conservaron de las reliquias bizantinas y otomanas, donde aprenderás hechos e historias fascinantes con tu guía de habla inglesa. Pase por el Palacio de Topkapi, el palacio más grande y antiguo del mundo, y las Tumbas de los Sultanes en Hagia Sofia, varios edificios pequeños que parecen mezquitas en miniatura que contienen tumbas lujosamente decoradas de cinco sultanes diferentes y sus familias extensas.

Fantastic guide and wonderful tour of the Topkapi palace. I learned a lot about the history of the Sultans and the Ottoman Empire from the siege of Constantinople to the 1920’s.

Hussein was a very good tour guide. Blue mosque amazing, couldn’t see majesty of Haghia Sophia with big scaffolding in and out.
