Great for kids and anyone looking for a fun activity. Dancing, small bites, fun pictures, entertaining gladiators
We really enjoyed the 2-hour event. There was a kiosk with snacks and drinks. In addition, one could help oneself to fruit and drinks at the buffet after a short introductory speech. Afterward, the varied and heartfelt show began. It was super entertaining. The audience can either just watch, but participating is worth it. You get swept up in the atmosphere anyway. Thanks to the dedicated and passionate team!
The location is a bit difficult to reach by public transport at that time, and getting back to the center can also be difficult. Definitely keep that in mind. Otherwise, we were there with our 5-year-old son. He found it totally exciting, and the children were also included. Otherwise a nice experience!
Highly exciting, authentic show that was immersive and inclusive. We walked to the venue from the Colosseum which was a stunning 45min walk. Would highly recommend.
Everybody had fun. We were ages 12-19. This is a show that includes not only the battles, but also dances, sharing the audience and the children in the show, "The Queen of the New Caesar" and more. There is also respect for the audience: delicious wine, juice and water for children, strawberry and hot dogs, pastries, cheeses and pastries. It happens on Fridays in the summer months. Cons: The heat and humidity in July were terrible, a lot of mosquitoes brought mosquito repulsive material and the location was less accessible by public transport, but the lady at the entrance was very nice and when we entered offered to book a taxi for us at the end.
This is great for primary school age children who might find it hard to appreciate the ruins around rome.
The gladiator show was wonderful — truly exciting, and the audience was thrilled throughout. The performance was based on real history, and everyone participated eagerly. The actors gave a wholehearted performance, and there was even a snack break. The show was not too long, with suitable rest times thoughtfully arranged. It took place at night, when the surroundings were dark, but the special effects were stunning. A large crowd attended, and it seemed that everyone had their own favorite gladiator from history. Overall, it was a memorable experience — a chance to learn about gladiators in an engaging way while enjoying an exhilarating show.
An out-of-the-box experience. If was funny, very suitable for kids, but adults who don't take life too seriously will really enjoy it too. We absolutely did (two couples in our early fifties). There were a few children, and mostly adults. Not crowded at all in a city where everything is over-crowded. It included a nice buffet, with excellent honey-wine. I totally recommend. It is not Russel Crowe, but we enjoyed it.
Fun experience, particularly appreciated by children and foreigners. I accompanied a friend from the USA.
What a gem! The food was plentiful and good. We went down the line and filled our plates. It included a sweetened & spiced red wine. The show was really good and also gave the audience several opportunities to participate. It was a really great price as well. It meant more to us as we had just taken the Coliseum tour.
