Epic 4 days out on the water with friends. Kayak trail were amazing at supplying everything and making the process so easy. It was a mixed group of experiences and it made it so much smoother with their support. Some great recommendations for camp sites and transfer from Stockholm was excellent. Absolutely faultless and could not recommend more.

I can not speak highly enough of this experience. My friend and I went on a 4 day self-guided tour. We were picked up from central Stockholm, a short walk from the central bus station. On arrival we were taken through all of the provided kit and kayak, with explanations regarding possible routes that were suggested for us according to the predicted weather conditions. The archipelago exceeded all expectations, with beautiful spots to stop and swim en route to perfect isolated islands to set up camp. We had everything that we needed for very comfortable camping conditions- all of the equipment was spotlessly clean and worked perfectly. We ordered the food package and we had far more than we needed and it had been very well thought out, with suggested recipes and plenty of snacks. An absolutely fabulous mini break away- I can't recommend it enough.

Stunning adventure to go on. The Self-Guided kayak experience gives you complete freedom to tackle this beautful part of the world at whatever speed you need. The introduction was informative and clear before being left to our own devices. All equipment was simple to use and good quality, the one extra we'd maybe think of is to bring a towel to help drying off between getting out of the kayak onto island. Overall fantastic.

We just returned from The Kayak Trail’s self-guided camping tour, and it was truly the experience of a lifetime.From start to finish, everything was seamless, well-organized, and thoughtfully curated. The team ensured we were fully prepared before setting off—providing high-quality gear, a well-planned route, and a thorough safety and navigation briefing. The kayaks were top-notch and packed with everything we needed for island-hopping and wild camping through the stunning Stockholm Archipelago. Having the freedom to explore at our own pace—while knowing support was available if we needed it—gave us the perfect balance of adventure and peace of mind. This trip gave us a rare chance to disconnect, immerse ourselves in nature, and create memories we’ll never forget. 6 days self guided tour made in the beautiful archipelago of Stockholm. The two of us were picked up by a cab at the Hotel Downtown Camper and when we arrived we were welcomed by the team. After a brief welcome, we were introduced to the equipment, kayak and navigation. (The two of us are inexperienced in kayaking, so don't worry, the tour is doable even without previous experience). We booked the double kayak and the food package for 4 days, which was enough for the whole 6 days. The food was very good and was perfect for the adventure. The introduction to kayaking felt a bit short, but was sufficient as we later found out. There were a few difficulties packing the kayak, but we were well supported by the team. A little tip, less is sometimes more ;) We were more or less lucky with the weather. It rained on the first and last day of our adventure. Otherwise the weather was perfect. Be careful, the sun hits differently in the archipelago! All in all, it was a successful trip with very good equipment. Special thanks to Arne for the briefing, Freddy for solving the problem with our broken gas stove and Jakob for the warm welcome on our return. This experience was one of the highlights of our trip to Sweden! Jakob was helpful and patient with us in planning what excursion would best suit our needs and the team (shout out to Ellen!) has thought of everything, literally everything, you could need out in the wild. The food was abundant and tasty, the gear in excellent shape, and map and navigation tips clear. The beauty of the archipelago is truly special, and we loved being out on our own to explore. A fantastic experience overall and we highly recommend!

Our 3 day wild camping and kayaking experience surpassed expectations . I was looking for adventure, wilderness, tranquility, nature, and this experience delivered. Adam, Jakob and their team were amazing throughout. Responsive engaged and informative whilst we were booking. The self guide package (kayaks, food, camping and cooking gear, training, route planning, support, picl up and return to stockholm) was very well planned and catered for all of our needs. As a result myself and 6 friends were able to experience the Archipelago fully. We got out into nature, explored the islands, immerse ourselves in nature and found suitable camping sites,. In addition, tha sk to the teams guidance, we found an island bar, a sauna, and toilets when needed. Great job guys, I cannot recommend this temp enough for people seeking adventure and tranquility.
