We had a beautiful ride through the woods and round the lake with our excellent guide Pietra. She picked us up from the MAMUT office in Nled and drove us to the nearby town where the horses live. Everyone we met at the barn was friendly and kind, the horses are well cared for. A+
Thank you for the beautiful review!
Great fun, guide was helpful and told me lots about Slovenia plus the views were great as well
Thanks for the revie! Glad you had a good time with us:)
The most beautiful ride I’ve ever taken. The scenery is gorgeous!
Thank you for the review, we're glad you enjoyed the ride with us:)
This tour was amazing. My wife and I had a great time riding the horses with some scenic view. Would definitely do it again and I recommend it for people with no experience.
Very nice small stable in a canyon in the alps. While scenery is surrounded by big mountains. The horses are very gentile and calm, actually they know the way themselves, no riding skills required.
I really, really loved this Ranch. The horses are amazing. Reliable, well-educated, very well cared for. Petra was the best guide ever. She really cared for us. I am not a very confident rider, so she swapped horses for me last minute to make me feel even more comfortable and safe. She always talked to us, explained everything, let us know in advance when to expect to trot or canter, gave looks backwards and asked us how we were feeling all the time. We were even allowed to select the route we preferred. The owner Dušan is also such a kind person! He was very enjoyable and maybe we can next time do a tour with him :-).
Would give no stars if possible. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. They didn't turn up and we didn't get to do the horse riding. No advance notice of cancellation we turned up waited 15minutes and were told that the guide wasn't answering his call and that we wouldn't be able to go. VERY FRUSTRATING! SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE.
Lovely views, guide, and horses. If you want to try galloping a bit, you can do that here because there’s plenty of space. 2+ hours was plenty of time for an inexperienced rider like myself. The guide is the sweetest Man who clearly loves his horses and lifestyle. You’ll get more than horseback riding—but a glimpse at Slovenian hospitality :) Try not to bring too many items/bags. I wish I had left all but my phone behind. I nearly lost my sunglasses haha.
The tour provided amazing mountain views that we wouldn't have gotten otherwise, since we were able to cover much more ground with the horses than we could have on foot. The majority of the trail the horses were just walking, but we got up to a trot every so often. We were pretty sore the next day since we are not experienced riders, but it was worth it! Our guide was very friendly, hospitable, and excited to share his culture with us. We loved seeing his small farm with other horses and animals.
Traumatising experience. I’m use to go horse riding everywhere in the world and I’ve never seen something like that. The road was horrible for the horses, up and down in descents and climbs really steep, we told the owner (that didn’t event speak English) and he told us they were use to do it 4 times a day(the horses)!!! 0 respect and love for this poor animals. They didn’t welcome us, didn’t even care about the level of my friends that went up on a horse for the first time! Was really dangerous, the horses were nervous, always biting each other(even doing the walk) they didn’t wanted to go in some roads because they were tired and he beat them! As if this wasn’t enough at some point he stopped in a bar, and he brought us to see a bear closed in a really tiny cage just to amuse the clients! I asked about the sadness of the bear and he told me that before he was with his brother but he died sometime ago because of heart attack! Because of no space to move and of people that enjoy giving him icecream! He told us this information smiling as if it was something funny to close in a really tiny cage a bear and give him so much food to cause him a heart attack! A completely lack of emotions towards those poor animals I’m still so sad thinking about it. I completely suggest to don’t go, for personal safety and for respect to those animals.
