El Caminito del Rey es algo más que un sendero; es un inolvidable viaje guiado por las murallas del Desfiladero de los Gaitanes, una de las maravillas naturales más impresionantes de Andalucía. Imagínese caminar por paseos marítimos suspendidos, atornillados directamente a la cara vertical del acantilado, a 100 metros sobre el río Guadalhorce. Siente la descarga de adrenalina mientras atraviesas el desfiladero, mirando hacia abajo en el abismo profundo que pocos ven. Esta increíble ruta ofrece impresionantes vistas de la geología del cañón y la vibrante naturaleza mediterránea, todo dentro de uno de los espacios naturales protegidos de Málaga. Nuestra visita guiada por expertos transforma este emocionante paseo en una rica experiencia histórica. No solo será testigo de la notable reconstrucción del camino, sino que también descubrirá las emocionantes historias de su propósito original, construido hace más de un siglo como un paso vital para los trabajadores hidroeléctricos, que ofrece un poderoso contraste entre el pasado y el presente. Itinerario
El Punto de Encuentro & Acceso : Conozca a su guía oficial, certificado en el Acceso Norte. A su llegada, busque al personal de Caminito del Rey con el uniforme azul oscuro. Simplemente preséntate ante el miembro del personal e indica que tu reserva es con Discovering Spain. Tendrá que proporcionar el nombre que figura en su reserva, el número de personas en su grupo y la hora de su recorrido programado. Toda esta información esencial está claramente impresa en su comprobante.
Camina por el camino inicial y las primeras pasarelas suspendidas. La guía se centrará en la dramática historia del Caminito : su construcción a principios de 1900, los peligros a los que se enfrentaban los trabajadores, y las razones por las que el rey Alfonso XIII lo encargó. Esta sección prepara el escenario para el desfiladero.
A medida que el camino inicial da paso a las caras verticales de roca, prepárate para el evento principal. Estás a punto de entrar en las legendarias pasarelas suspendidas, una hazaña de ingeniería visible desde el espacio. Esta sección es donde el Caminito se gana su reputación. Haga una pausa para apreciar la gran escala de la garganta de Gaitanes, maravillarse con el agua cristalina 100 metros más abajo y preparar su cámara. Su guía le asegurará capturar las mejores vistas mientras comparte hechos menos conocidos sobre la audaz reconstrucción del sendero.
Este es el corazón del Caminito, donde las pasarelas están suspendidas más arriba de la quebrada Gaitanes. El guía interpretará las increíbles formaciones geológicas, el río y la flora y fauna únicas de la zona. Habrá momentos designados para la fotografía.
Completa el tramo final y el camino hacia la salida cerca de El Chorro. El guía concluirá el recorrido con información sobre el proceso de reconstrucción y su uso moderno como parque natural. El guía le dirigirá a los puntos de salida oficiales y a la parada de autobús lanzadera disponible (Nota : La tarifa del autobús lanzadera es independiente y no está incluida).

It was a bit tricky to find the place to meet the guide. You have to walk abort 15 minutes after you've parked your car. No information on the direction, but you have to trust the GPS.

our experience lasted around 2 hours, the guide (Cristobal) was friendly and informative. the staff speak English as well as Spanish and other languages as well. there was no reception on mobile phones to show our tickets however we just stated our name on tickets and that was fine. alternatively take a screen shot of the tickets and bar/QR code

Very strenuous but extraordinary. Our guide, whose name I forgot - maybe Anita or Amy, was a tiny woman with nonstop energy and enthusiasm. Getting to the start of the tour and from the end to the starting point should be factored in because it adds to the difficulty. That said, I am glad we had such an incredible adventure!
