Visita a la biblioteca de Celsus
Al llegar a Éfeso, ingresamos por la puerta de Magnesia y comenzamos una caminata lenta y cuesta abajo con su guía hacia las ruinas de la antigua capital provincial romana.Su ruta lo llevará más allá del templo de Adriano, la fuente de Trajano, el gran teatro y el espectacular biblioteca de Celso.

Según la tradición cristiana, María fue llevada a Éfeso por el apóstol Juan después de la resurrección de Cristo y vivió sus últimos días aquí. Esta iglesia fue erigida sobre los cimientos de esa casa, y su autenticidad ha sido confirmada por el Papa Pablo VI y el Papa Juan Pablo II. muchos visitantes describen esto como una experiencia edificante o espiritual.
Mercado gubernamental de la ciudad de Éfeso
Ubicada en el extremo sur de la calle Domiciano, es la primera estructura en Éfeso que se sabe está dedicada a un emperador. Se construyó sobre una alta y amplia terraza de 50x100 metros de tamaño, sobre cimientos abovedados. El tamaño norte de la terraza parece tener dos pisos de altura, al que se accede por escaleras. Las escaleras todavía son visibles hoy.
fue construido en el siglo I y restaurado en el siglo IV por una rica dama cristiana llamada Escolástica. A la izquierda de la entrada este, puedes ver su estatua sin cabeza. Se pensaba que la estructura original tenía tres pisos, pero cuando los dos pisos superiores colapsaron. Los baños tienen dos entradas, una por la calle Curetes, que es la entrada principal, y otra por la calle lateral. Al entrar se ve primero el camerino (apodyterium) con diez camarotes, luego la sala fría (frigidarium) con su piscina, y luego la sala cálida (tepidarium) para relajarse, y finalmente la sala caliente (caldarium) con su sistema de calefacción desarrollado. . El segundo piso se utilizó para masajes y exfoliación como terapia.

The tour was great. The ride was comfortable. The experience was wonderful. We enjoyed the carpet demonstration. Our guide and driver were fantastic.
Tour guide was excellent move that leisurely pace took us to an additional sites. That were very interesting. I highly recommend.
Yesra was phenomenal - - -such a wealth of information!! The day was absolutely perfect with all the activities included. The tour through Ephesus was absolutely amazing. The pottery stop was so informative and neat. The Turkish lunch was outstanding and such a nice way to try new food. The rug demo was incredible as well. They really did a hard sell at the end which you had to repeatedly say no. However, this was the best event we did on our 10 day vacation!!! Highly recommended.
Cetin showed us the ruins, the house of Mary, Artemis temple, and a great lunch! He explained all the history and answered all our questions. It was a great day and a great tour. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful tour of Ephesus with Yesra. She was very knowledge about all of the sites we visited and also very kind and personable. We stopped at a local shop to taste olive oil and other snacks. We did buy things but didn’t feel a great pressure to make a purchase. We also stopped at a pottery demonstration. Again, we bought something small . Lunch was at the end and was delicious. We were very happy with our tour with Yesra.

This was the perfect tour if you only have a day in Kusadasi. Melis is the best! You get a good exposure to Turkish culture (like rug making and local food) and ancient history. She is so knowledgeable and gave us helpful tips for the rest of our stay in Kusadasi. Thank you Melis!

Met Melis on time in Kusadasi port. Her passion for her country's tradition and culture was admirable and by the end of our trip we learned a great deal about her country's history and even learned a few Turkish phrases. The tour of Ephesus and the house of the virgin Mary was brilliant and Melis explained everything in great detail and her extensive knowledge on this subject was admirable. We then had a great lunch and then we had a demonstration on rug weaving and how passionate they are on their rug weaving tradition. We will definitely return to Turkey because of Melis passion when speaking of her country's tradition and history. We would highly recommend Melis as your tour guide and when we return to Turkey again for a holiday we will specifically ask for Melis as our tour guide. Melis is a wonderful warm and friendly tour guide and did everything possible to make our tour unforgettable and her country should be proud of her for delivering a brilliant presentation on Turkey's history and traditions.
