Amazing Samurai experience in Tokyo. Perfect activity for families. Our three kids did a two hour class and learned the ways of bushido. The instructions were friendly, patient, and made the experience memorable and enjoyable for our kids and family. Highly recommended for families with kids.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at the Samurai Training session. The instructors were knowledgeable, patient, and made everyone feel welcome — from the kids to the adults. Learning about swords, bushido, and the mental discipline behind the samurai tradition was fascinating, and the hands-on training was great fun. Excellent value for money and a true highlight of our Tokyo trip. Highly recommended for families!

I went on a trip to Japan with a friend and when planning everything out this was one of the activities / experiences we wanted to do. We always like to tread new ground when traveling and partaking in more unique experiences, and this certainly did not disappoint. Right from the get-go, you can see and feel the authenticity of the dojo, equipment, and instructors. They take you through a plan that consists of learning some basic history and etiquette of the Samurai / Bushido, and then they teach basic weapon handling and a combat form. You will suit up in a Samurai Gi and all along the way the instructors are extremely nice and helpful in assisting with what they are demonstrating. Everything culminates in learning and acting out a kata, which is a sequence of moves. We also learned some Samurai exercises, and in the middle of the experience took a break and had some authentic Japanese matcha (it was really good!). Throughout everything, they gave ample opportunity for photos / videos and by the end of it all we were given a scroll certifying us as having taken the class, and we really felt like true Samurai! I highly recommend this experience to anyone traveling to Japan :)
