Veronica was a great guide for the Basilica. The basilica is beautiful and there is much to learn about St. Stephen. Would definitely include the treasury and terrace. Beautiful views from up top.

La Basílica de San Esteban es uno de los edificios neoclásicos más bellos de Budapest, el edificio más importante de Hungría, el tercer edificio más alto del país y también la atracción turística más importante de la capital.

Visite la singular plaza de la Basílica de San Esteban y admire el impresionante edificio con sus singulares relieves, mosaicos y, por supuesto, sus deslumbrantes frescos. La tercera iglesia más grande de Hungría, con una longitud de 87 metros, una anchura de 55 metros y una altura máxima de 96 metros, es exactamente la misma que el edificio del Parlamento. La enorme iglesia rinde homenaje a San Esteban I, el primer rey de Hungría, que estableció el cristianismo en el reino. Y si todo esto no es suficiente, canjee su entrada combinada y los huéspedes que lleguen aquí podrán visitar la tesorería, a la que se puede acceder mediante ascensor y escaleras, que se ha ampliado a tres salas y que conserva reliquias tan maravillosas como, por ejemplo, la mano derecha momificada. Después, dé un paseo por la terraza panorámica, desde donde podrá disfrutar de una impresionante vista de la ciudad.

Beautiful minor basilica and a must see when in Budapest
This is an hour tour plus access to bell tower. Our your tour guide was young and very informative regards to the basilica. She did not have an English spelling to her name :(. This church is very beautiful and has a lot of history regards to Hungary and its formative years which makes this church unusual. If you access the stairs to bell tower be warned there are a lot. There is a lift if needed.

Amazing building with so much cool things inside, services do run in the building and definitely worth trying to time visit during a service time

Definitely helped prevent standing in line for tickets. Guide met us at designated place and time and took us in without waiting. Lot of history crammed into 50m tour. Much of the church furnishings are tied into the history of Hungary so she had to talk fast to explain the significance of various altars and figures in the church

Amazing tour of St Stephen’s Basilica
The guide did a wonderful job explaining the history of the church as well as Hungarian history. The meeting was in front of the ticket office where she handled all of the tickets.

Great experience! Tour was amazing and very informative. I think we could have stayed in there forever, but we had a later tour and they were closing!

Worth getting a guide. Spectacular design and architecture.
It's worth getting the guided tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the Basilica and the history surrounding it and the historical figures tied to it. Going up to the top dome and walking around gives spectacular views of the city.
