You still have to wait in line to go through the ticket office, but then you skip the line to board the train and that is much appreciated and worth it.

Highly recommend this as we jumped straight to the front of the queue. Saved lots of time. You first have to queue to change the QR code sent via email for a ticket and wristband. This is the same for everyone. We arrived at 8am, and there was no ticket queue. Once you get the ticket you have to get in a queue for the next train, and there were already around 100 people in the queue. As per the instructions, you have to let one of the staff know you have a fast track ticket (there is no separate signposted line), and they immediately took us straight to the front of the queue, and we got the first train to arrive. Trains are every 30 minutes. Fast track is for going up only. But when we came down at 10 am there was no queue and we quickly got the train down. At the moment, there is renovation work on the escalators, so you have to walk up around 70 steps to the top, but it is very easy, as lots of areas to wait and take in the view. It's a brilliant experience, the train ride is really lovely and goes through a forest. Once you are up the view is amazing. The statue itself is remarkable.

After arriving at the scheduled boarding time for the train (40 minutes before departure), my young son and I were forced to wait for a later time, causing us to board in the evening. When we arrived at the train door, people waited for almost an hour, all crammed in without any guidance, and when they opened the train doors, everyone rushed in, trampling children and the elderly, chances of accidents where no one takes responsibility. It's absurd to be charged the price that is charged, unfortunately a terrible experience to say the least.

Great Experience! This tour was good. Be mindful of heavy peak times. The place can get crowded. Arrive early to avoid the lines.

We visited in July and there was a short line to get tickets and the waiting time for the train was less than 20 minutes. The air was clear and the views were amazing. There were two things that I came away with. One, I didn't expect to be moved but I have to admit that the experience was spiritual. I am a lapsed Catholic and even have a YouTube channel named "The Altarless Traveler." So I visit religious sites around the world and report back on them. Usually I am merely curious but the beauty of Christ the Redeemer is undeniable. I must admit though, I think it was the combination of the statue and the views from the top. Secondly was the range of emotions at the top. Most people were navigating the crowds and politely taking all kinds of photos--lying on their backs, putting phones on the ground, selfies, groups, etc. But some were emotionally affected, like praying and even crying. These emotions added to the experience. You don’t need to subscribe to traditional faith to feel genuine awe here (I ended up exploring this exact tension—finding reverence without religion—in a deeper video essay on *The Altarless Traveler*.) I highly recommend the trip and if I return to Rio I will make the trip again.

Important tip for those who find the tickets sold out on the website! We had an experience that I think is important to share because it can help other people. We wanted to visit the Christ the Redeemer by the Corcovado Train on a Saturday (09/05/2026). The night before, when we checked the official website, the morning times appeared sold out and we only found availability for the late afternoon. Since we really wanted to go in the morning, we decided to arrive early at Cosme Velho station and try to buy in person. To our surprise, we managed to get morning tickets at the box office very easily, even with those times showing as sold out online the night before. So here's the tip: if the time you want to appear is sold out online, it doesn't necessarily mean there won't be tickets available in person. It's not possible to guarantee that this will happen every day, of course, but in our case, it was very worth trying. Another tip is really to arrive early. Besides getting the tickets, we got the Christ with good visibility. Later, we found people commenting that they had gone up afterwards and could no longer see practically anything because of the weather. The train ride is also part of the experience and, for us, it was well worth it. I just wanted to record mainly the issue of the box office because we almost gave up going in the morning believing that "sold out online" meant there would be no more tickets.

Great guide and driver team! Our guide, Angélica, speaks German and was excellent! They were super flexible and did everything to make us feel safe in Rio. The driver was also excellent, driving with a lot of safety and tranquility in the crazy traffic of Rio. Angélica was very informative and made the tour very interesting, showing and explaining things we would not have noticed if we had visited the city without a guide. In the end, she even offered to help us during the entire time we spent in Rio. It was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend it!
