We were caught with tickets at the same day that the English king and queen came to the Vatican. It created chaos but our tour company was able to switch our tickets to the next day so that we did not miss anything. Thank you!
Dear Guest, Thank you very much for sharing your experience and for your kind words. We’re delighted to hear that, despite the unexpected situation caused by the visit of the King and Queen of England and the resulting crowd management measures at the Vatican, our team was able to quickly reorganize your tickets for the following day. Ensuring that our guests do not miss out on their experience is always our top priority, and we’re very happy we could find a solution that worked for you. Your understanding and appreciation mean a great deal to us. Thank you for choosing our services, and we hope to welcome you again in the future. Kind regards,
I’m so happy I booked my tour with Viator. It was so easy to book online and they were very responsive and great communicators. We had an issue getting to the spot in time to pick up the tickets and they immediately texted the tickets to me. I highly recommend using them. Very professional!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear that booking with Viator was easy and that our team was able to assist you promptly when you had an issue with your tickets. We truly appreciate your recommendation and are delighted that you found our service professional. We hope to welcome you on another tour soon! Kind regards,
Our guide was Monica... super organized, congratulations!!! Very careful in detail, an expensive route but, very valid, thanks
If you want a quick 2-2.5 hour tour to knock these places off of your sight seeing checklist then this could be a tour for you. Our guide Francesca was hard to understand and she seemed to avoid questions. I wish we had a better guide and that we had taken maybe even just 30 minutes longer to stop and understand the history and have a chance for questions periodically.
We hadn't been able to book the 20 Euro Vatican Museum tickets from the official website in advance so we were just going to stand in the queue to see if we could get in. We arrived around 8.45am and as we were at the end of the queue we were approached by a lady who offered us a guided tour with skip-the-line access starting at 9.30am for 80 euros each. Obviously you do end up paying a premium over the website ticket price however we did find this to be worth it to avoid the three hour queue and we got a really knowledgeable guide, Paolo. Note that you will still have to join a queue of all the other tour groups being run by various companies but this is quite fast moving and took about 10 minutes. Paolo then took us around the museum - this took around 2 hours, ending in the Sistine Chapel where you get to stay for 15-20 minutes. Paolo was very knowledgeable and made sure to look after the group. It is quite a fast moving tour and you won’t get to see every bit of the museum but it was still very good. Once you get out the Sistine Chapel you're then at St Peter's where you can get straight in. At this point the guide leaves you to wander at your leisure so you're able to take as much time as you want in St Peter's. In summary, although we were a little sceptical at first of the many people trying to sell pricey skip the line tickets and tours, this company turned out to be very good and Paolo was excellent. Obviously it is down to each individual to decide if they are willing to pay the price above the Vatican museum website price!
Thank you very much for your nice review.
Less expensive if booked through the vatican. As well the tour group was larger than started and the meeting spot office is warm and uncomfortable
Obviously it is less expensive if you stand in the line long time and buy tickets inside the Vatican. Our group size is not more than 20 pax what we promised in our product. We fell sorry for our office environment. We are working on it to develop.
Our tour guide, Paolo, was amazing! He was very lively, funny, and quite informative, especially for a non-Christian audience. He made the tour fun and interesting! The company altogether was also very understanding when we were a few minutes late for our booking, and accommodated us with the next available time slot. Highly recommend!
Thank you so much.
The tour guide was entertaining and made sure we got to see everything we wanted to. We took the latest tour (3:30 PM) and expressed concern about not making it in to see St. Peter’s Basilica. She got us through the museum in record time (not cutting important artifacts at ALL!) and got us in within SECONDS to spare! Thank you!
