Was a nice place to go sit and watch the city go by. At €37 was a little bit steep to then go up and buy drinks and food but suppose thats the way it has to be for a landmark and where most people just go up to see and when compared to the empire state at over $80 per person, was good value for Phoebe and I. Views are lovely but watching all the boats is much better.
The tower offers a great view of Amsterdam; whether one dares to try the swing is left to each person's discretion. The photos taken at the entrance can be purchased (of course, nothing is free), but it is not mandatory.
Super experience. Highly recommend. The swing was brilliant experience
The experience and location are wonderful. However, my low rating is due to a very rude and unfriendly staff member at the swing area. He seemed to dislike his job and made the people around him feel uncomfortable. Unfortunately, this negatively affected what would otherwise have been a great experience.
Very enjoyable, the city views are fantastic, free ferry from outside centraal station . Lovely, friendly staff, enjoyed the swing
Visited A’DAM Lookout and booked in advance, selecting the package with dinner at Madam Restaurant. We arrived and had our meal first before heading up to the lookout. The restaurant itself was nice and made for a good experience before going upstairs.( separate review ) One thing I’m still not completely sure about afterwards was whether booking the restaurant automatically gave access to the lookout or whether we paid more than necessary. We seemed to go straight through after the meal without additional checks, so it felt like we’d effectively paid around €50 and then had €20 taken off the food bill — making the lookout itself feel closer to €30. Looking afterwards, it seemed there may have been cheaper ways to book the restaurant and access separately, although I could be wrong and this may be required to access the restaurant so would recommend checking Unfortunately, the weather really affected our visit. It was a cold, rainy and windy day, so we didn’t spend long outside — probably around 10 minutes in total. Because of that, it felt a little underwhelming. We didn’t use the swing due to the weather, so can’t comment on that part of the experience. Overall, I think this is one of those attractions where the weather makes a huge difference. On a clear day with more time to enjoy the views, it would probably feel much better value.
Swing is not that exciting, VR is boring
The ad is very misleading. You would think that based on Viatours picture for this tour, you would be going on the swing ride……but no, that is extra. The cost isn’t a deterrent, but the ad is very misleading. What you get is up to the top observation point which is very nice. We also picked the food a drinks option. Not the fault of Viatour, but the kitchen was closed for the day, and you only get one small drink. The views are exceptional and the swing is really cool even if you have to pay extra……even the elevator ride up and down is a visual experience. Over all I’d go again but know what the real cost is.
Super super fun, beautiful views, amazing food, such a beautiful Place, and the 100ft swing..oioi..Test your nerves for real!! But I love it
We did the swing but was incredibly frustrating about the price of entry. The price to enter is £16.50 but that’s for absolutely nothing at all you do get a photo on a plank you can download so worth it for that. The swing was an additional £7.50 pp which was Great value. The issue was our friends who didn’t want to swing had to sit outside for an hour because it wasn’t worth £16.50 to watch us. You should charge £7.50 entrance and £16.50 for the swing experience.
