Joyful for family visit but the employees not very kind, expensive restaurant but good taste and variety of foods were good
Make sure to wear comfortable shoes! You do a lot of walking, there is also two parts of the zoo where you get the chance to pet the animals and go inside there closure (Lemurs + Elephant) You need to pay to do so, but they only except cash so make sure to bring some do you don’t miss out on this experience of a lifetime (lemurs are 5 euros per person + elephant is 50 euros for up to a group of 5)
A good zoo with plenty to see. Couldn’t spend all day there. 3 hours was plenty. Lots of different types of birds. A good range of animals to see. There were options for interactions with the animals which were payable by cash only. Be aware of the lizards that’s roam the paths of the zoo.
This was lovely, such a relaxed zoo in comparison to the ones back home. Beautiful views and opportunities to interact with the animals. Quite a walk from the bus stop if you’re taking public transport tho!
Very run down zoo, all the animals seem to be in small cages, didn’t see any food for them, usually you see food in each cage of fresh food, and we saw nothing, cages looked dirty , staff are friendly, elephant made to perform to get photos, so it’s stood on one spot all day on a plinth, as the Que for photos are huge, completely understand a zoo is caged animals, however it was extremely under whelming, and wouldn’t return
Brilliant day out at the zoo. We've been quite a few times and absolutely love it. Definite must see.
Overall the zoo was clean and well maintained - as we walked it was noticed rather quickly than alot of the zoo is birds whilst having the odd different type of animal, these animals also have quite small enclosures regarding the number of them to the enclosure. It is also good to note that the free bus times are sparse, either giving you an hour or 2 to do the entire zoo or having to be there for 6 hours (the zoo is not big enough for that). The zoo gives options to use transport within the zoo, such as caddies but these were charges at €20 per hour - which I think is steep. My partner and I were able to walk around find but my father and his friend who are disabled struggled, so if you do not want to pay the caddie cost then you will need to allow time for regular breaks. The zoo is nice for an afternoon out, as it is not big enough the spend the entire day - therefore it's a good ticket price regarding the size.
We visited her whilst staying in Paphos. After reading reviews on her I was a bit concerned about what we were going to see, but you know what… it just proved to never believe everything you read. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by friendly staff. Throughout the whole day staff were welcoming wherever you saw them. The experiences you can pay for (small fee of 5 euros) was worth every penny. The variety of animals was unreal. And your option of food areas were amazing. There is plenty of shaded areas if you feel the need to get out of the sun for 5 minutes. We finished our day with a photo with the one and only owl that took part in the first Harry Potter film, that certainly topped our day off. So, please don’t be put off by the so many negative reviews, give the zoo a chance.
Not a shuttle bus, species-appropriate attitude is a foreign word. Enclosures and aviaries much too small. 5€to be entertained by monkeys and 50€ for photo and feeding with an elephant. Sorry, I can't do that. The only nice thing was the design, you always walk in the shade. The bird show was fine, too.
We didn’t know what to expect with the reviews given. When we got there it was free face painting and the whole family got it. Great fun. Got some funny looks but great laughs. Seen beautiful animals but was very sad to hear the giraffe has passed away 😢. Went to feed the Lemurs and was a great hit with the kids and the grownups too. I would recommend the Paphos Zoo.
